Well…that sucks. Get the extra rest and hopefully he feels well enough to give it a go tomorrow. Just his presence on the court would be huge for getting other guys open.

  2. A bit more hopeful update from Bud:

    >[Budenholzer: “I mean, I think if I’m being honest, I think there is an optimism (that Giannis Antetokounmpo will play in Game 2). Time is a little bit on our side, but I think that equation will flip, so yeah, I would say we’re optimistic.”](https://twitter.com/eric_nehm/status/1648396274167848961)

I think if this was anybody else they would not be playing tomorrow, but it’s Giannis. Man bended his knee backwards and was playing a couple weeks after, he’s unreal.

I think he wants to play even if he’s not at full strength he knows he’s a huge help for us. 50% of Giannis is already enough for the Bucks.

Honestly a day of rest is probably more beneficial than a day of practice at this point anyways, but it’s a bit concerning he *wasn’t able* to practice. Not quite the same as giving him a free rest day

Would love to know if his imaging was actually “clean” or if it was just “clean” of fracture. We should have a musculoskeletal radiologist for the Bucks in this sub 🤣

How about the guys on the court do their jobs. It’s the Heat. Bucks in 5

  6. Accomplished_Try118

Rest is probably better than a day of practice pounding on his back tbh

  7. SpaceCowboy170

Just bring back Bryn on a 10 day

And if Adam Silver takes issue with it then we’ll lie and say he’s Goran

  8. Just-the-top

Honestly not super worried even if he doesn’t play. It took the heat having their best shooting performance of the season & the bucks having their worst shooting performance from the season for them to beat us by 13. That being said I hope he plays. Bucks in 6.

I honestly want him to REST for the game 2.
He can come back on April 22nd for the game 3.

    1. The Heat will NOT shoot 60% from the 3 point line.

    2. We shot one of the worst 3 point % in last game, so most likely we will shoot much better and they will not.

    3. Lopez and Carter scored 12 points combined and this will not going to happen again.

    4. Herro is out

We will win and give Giannis more rest would be ideal, since this is only the 1st round

What a crappy way to start the playoffs.

Geared up for another deep run and we couldn’t even get through an entire half without one injury

Giannis is likely going to be dealing with a back issue AND wrist issues the entire playoffs

Can’t they give him the shots the give NFL players to manage pain? Honestly asking

I think people in here are way too confident with Giannis sitting. Going down 0-2 AT HOME makes it a very scary proposition even if Giannis comes back in game 3.

And without Giannis it’s no sure fire thing. The Bucks essentially turn into the Heat on offense without him but maybe even slightly worse. They just don’t got enough guys to create shots. Holiday hasn’t shown up on offense in the playoffs I don’t see why magically that changes. That leaves Middleton to do all the heavy lifting. Going against Butler that’s tough.

Don’t get me wrong, the Bucks very well CAN beat the Heat without Giannis they still got better depth and if they figure out how to use that size it’ll help. However, the point is it’s way too close for comfort in a very important game 2. If Giannis is able to go he should. Even if its for like 25 minutes.
