I remember winning game two against the Hawks in 2021 and the Pacers in 2013 after dropping the first game, and it meant nothing. We split the series on the road, and that’s all we needed to do. I’m confident in Jalen’s ability to keep the team grounded, and I can’t wait to see the Cavs play with a real crowd at the Mecca. Knicks in six.

  2. VeryFarDown

Tough to even take any analysis from that game. Haven’t seen a bigger self-inflicted shit offensive performance from this team all season. Was like a bunch of guys who met in the park for pickup and never played together. We’re still in the driver’s seat if we can take care of business at home.

Also, I’ve been one of the biggest RJ stans, but he’s done himself no favors this series. If this is his ceiling then we need to move on ASAP.

  3. Yankeeknickfan

The 2012-2013 Knicks lost game 1, and absolutely bludgeoned the pacers in game 2. Then they lost the series. Hopefully this is the same formula for the cavs

Also hope Iq gained the confidence he needed in the 4th, he needs to be able to score

Nothing to say about tonight’s lost. We didn’t match Cleveland’s physicality and they just seemed like they wanted it more tonight. We accomplished what we set out which was steal a game on the road. I am little concerned about IQ through 2 games he has just 15 Points. He looks like he doesn’t want the ball in his hand. Hopefully coming back home will wake him up. Side note Thibs dodged one with Randle not getting injured down 20 smh.

It is a long series. We will fight hard. We will come back. Believe in these boys, because this was the one shit game that everyone gets to have

If you’ve ever wondered what feeling feels more, the joy of winning or the sadness of losing, we have our answer, and it’s definitely the sadness of losing.

The Rangers absolutely manhandled the Devils, and conversely, the Knicks got equally dominated by the Cavs.

The Rangers win feels so flat when overshadowed by the Knicks loss.

Had you asked me earlier, I probably would’ve preferred the Rangers to be up 1-0 and the Knicks 1-1 than 0-1 and 2-0 respectively, but man the loss hurts more.

Oh yeah, and Randle is probably out for the rest of our brief season while he was playing in garbage time. Ffs

  7. mfabros

Everybody was bad tonight. Let’s get ’em on Friday.

  8. TreSeven

Well that was the worst game we’ve played all season

  9. lurkcitybaby

Tough game, Garland was on fire, they came out to make good on their “be more physical” talk (and got a good bit of leeway from the refs), team completely lost their composure in the 2nd quarter, haven’t seen them turn it over that much all year so credit to the Cavs there. Got the game we wanted to get, let’s get back to the garden and turn the fuck up.

Series is tied 1-1 with 2 home games coming up for the Knicks, that’s all I care about

  11. nyc_brand

We need thibs to make adjustments and quickley + grimes to pick up slack. Embarassing effort but this series is still tied!

  12. Fast_Door

Say what you want about refs and whatever, but Cavs did just what they said they would: punched us in the mouth (a couple times literally but I digress), got in our faces and played their brand of basketball. That’s the playoffs for you. All we can do is rally in the Garden and use home court the best we can.

Won’t talk about our players. We all know how they did.

  13. awesomesauceeee

I thought the knicks looked great tonight.

They just need to work on shooting, passing, turnovers, free throws, defense, offensive rebounds, defensive rebounds, ball handling, physicality, spacing, set plays, transition scoring, driving and kicking, and clutchness.

  14. OnymousCormorant

Last season’s Randle gets a tech and probably an ejection this game. Only upside tonight is how much he’s kept his cool

  15. Coldstone22

Honestly show deuce some minutes tbh

  16. Wonderful_Pain_5165

Can we please wait till the end of the series/season to start throwing in the towel on Thibs/RJ/Randle? Frustrating loss for sure but I need people to stfu crying “fire thibs trade randle” in game threads on every single loss. Same energy as yankee fans booing judge last season. Fucking classless, you’re unhappy because you choose to be.

  17. mutherfucker_jones

Let’s have some perspective. We stole one in Cleveland. Let’s take care of business at home. Knicks in 6.

  18. Taboot_taboot

I just hope they’re more confident in themselves than I am with them

  19. JR18123

I know its only 1-1, but man I am pretty concerned about the offense. Two pretty poor performances in a row. And this is the main issue I have with Thibs, he really offers you nothing from an offensive perspective. Little to no ball movement, offensive sets, or any kind of creative play design. Its mostly just Iso ball, and if the shots aren’t falling, this is the result you get. He is just a easy guy to scheme against in the playoffs.

  20. ThisIsTheGuy

we lost but at least i’m not from bumass ohio
lfg knicks run it back friday

  21. beanie_mac

Just a terrible effort all around. Yeah the officiating was atrocious in the first half, but Cleveland flat out just kicked our asses.

Everyone was bad, everyone made mistakes. Bad playoff losses happen. We move.

  22. dedbeats

Cavs played well, Knicks played shit, refs set the tone in the first half. Onto the next

  23. staywavie

Thibs needs to get his head outta his ass and know when to take the starters out

  24. Ny_icedogs

Going into the series, I just wanted to split the first two in Clevland. Got a bit over-excited with the first win

Cavs told everyone they were going to play more physical. I welcomed that.

The 2nd quarter was really tough because we got no whistle when we bled, while also getting called for simply trying to stay with our guy on defense.

Fuck the refs for that, but what really hurt is how much the Knicks let that deflate them.
