I haven't seen many videos of Ausar Thompson but the descriptions of Ausar remind me of Kawhi.
Not a PG but is a better defender than Amen. Better shooter than Amen. Not as athletic.
Kawhi became a point forward/playmaker. I think Ausar can become a playmaker.
I'll take the better defender shooter that plays smarter brand of Bball. With potential to become playmaker.
I wonder if there's any chance the Spurs take Amen with their 1st pick, then trade for maybe Portland's pick to take Ausar as well?

Im actually kinda loving the idea of establishing lock down team D, tanking, and then getting an all star that would be joining an actual team.
