The Lakers stole Game 1 in Memphis, beating a Grizzlies team that lost six times at home all year. They go into tonight’s Game 2 not only with confidence, but also the knowledge that Memphis star Ja Morant might not play, or could be limited at the least, thanks to a hand injury. If the Lakers can take Game 2, they put a stranglehold on the series as it moves back to LA for Game 3 this weekend.
So can they do it? Do Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura have another great game in them? Is it going to be a LeBron James-driven event? Can Anthony Davis repeat his defensive performance of Game 1, and lead the team on the other end, as well?

If coach actually Started Austin (which was obvious he shud have for Months and Months) and if the league refs did Steal 4 games from the Lakers. We'd be like number 3 seed. 1…da perception that the Lakers role players can't sustain the performance that they had in game one. Frankly, it could be true. But da fact that LeBron doesn't have to go all in at any specific point in da game..gives us the element of surprise. Both of our stars putting in effort…not just scoring… imagine when they do both. this is now the reality.. Lbj is now a liabity if he plays point guard.. pace is very slow..
time to accept that he is old.. do other things that will help your team..

Given the status of the league, the entire view of the regular season being an indicator of how the post season will go has become quite obsolete.
It is inarguable that the Lakers have been one of the 5 best teams in the league over the past 2 months and that should be a better indicator of their impending playoff run.
A long 2nd rd series would be par for the course at this moment ofcourse assuming health and WCF appearance wud certainly exceed expectations- Agree with Beck there….
If they can get a 6 week hot stretch of 3 pt shooting including a hot streak from Beasley….then the ceiling is higher.
A championship run wud need a lot of breaks (including untimely injury/health issues for opponents and a handful of key calls going the Lakers way(I guess we're due one cud say)….
