Dejounte Murray back in January: “They really have me competing against Derrick White… I love Pop, but I felt like he sided with Derrick more than me because I wasn’t a yes man. Not saying Derrick is any of that… Getting personal, you can’t play with me like that.”

Well it seems Pop was on to something and White is better. Crazy.

This is more about nothing unless OP wants to instigate a feud on here with White and Murray which is below the belt. It’s not that deep folks don’t look into the quote deep.

It would have been something to see if spurs had held on to both these guys. Could have been a crazy potent backcourt especially with pop leading.

basketball abilities aside, derrick white seems like such a better dude

  5. yungmeathead

Murray always has other dudes name’s in his mouth. He’s an absolute insecure cornball

  6. too-cute-by-half

Lol “yes man” = willing to be coached by one of the all time greats

  7. Plastic_Database_645

Wait so Murray has feud on White? I thought they are good friends? I saw an instagram post wherein Murray says goodluck upon trading D White to us Celtics

  8. aja_ramirez

I don’t think yes man is the proper term. But white is laid back and happy to fit in where he can. He’s not going to be demanding or high maintenance. While there is something to be said for guys that don’t go with the flow, there is also a downside to that approach. Sometimes people won’t want to deal with you.

God the poor Hawks fans. I thought Trae was supposed to be the selfish, insecure coach killer. Turns out they have depth in that regard.

This skinny mf just reeks of insecurity lmao first he was in his feelings bc Tony Parker didn’t stay and mentor him now he thinks Pop favored D. White over him bc he’s a “yes man”? Guy is a comedian for sure

Dejounte turned into an asshole the moment he got traded from the spurs

  12. rinygiants

Ok Dejounte who went cold! Talk is cheap!

  13. I remember there were a few amongst us who wanted Murray around the deadline last year.

I’m glad we didn’t do that. He seems like a low character McAsshole with quotes like this and his antics in those pro am games.

Never forget when he was beefing with Paolo for no reason

Scrolling through the other tweets: Jackson saying Parker was one of the selfish players he knew. Considering how many teams and the on court attitude of Steve Jackson I always considered him to be a selfish players. Interesting take.

  16. CynicalMindTrip

Derrick White –> Walter White –> Saul Goodman –> Hank –> His minerals –> Dejounte Murray

Honestly, you can’t fault this. Reading the context I get what he was trying to say. If you’re that good and don’t think it, you won’t have the swagger needed to be an all star.

I’m happy to roast his ass for the Ls but I want my athletes thinking like this. 🤷‍♂️

Brother, not being a yes man to your coach is called being uncoachable. You can ask questions but if you don’t trust your coach then gtfo for both your sakes

  19. ShockyWocky

You know Murray didn’t write this since It Is Not Written Like This.

  20. skrskrskrrrrr08

pop really had him under a leash back then huh

  21. KyrieLS777

Then Derrick got picked up by a team that thought he would help get them to the finals. And he did. And he’s gonna do it again this year. Pop saw White’s talent.

Murray is talented as well, but that ego won’t do ya any good.

  22. caterpillardenturess

Lol, being coachable isn’t a bad thing fuckwit

  23. GregSays

Guys, I love White but they’re in completely different team situations. Murray is good with Atlanta and I have a feeling he would look pretty good playing next to Tatum and Brown, too.
