Hawks may not be better than the Celtics but they could at least try making some shots.
Basketball is about way more than hitting open shots, but either doing or not doing that can swing a couple of games massively. The Celtics are a better basketball team than the Hawks, but looking at open 3s there's a 35 point gap even accounting for better shooters so far. pic.twitter.com/dbcGB9pbGS

i’ll admit i know nothing about coaching or game plans but when i watch the hawks they just look like a nate mcmillan team. feed the ball around until someone can create a little space and chuck it up. when i watch the celtics this series they seem so intentional. if this doesn’t create a shot, we do this, then this, then this. it’s like they’re 5 plays ahead and always know what to do. although i do expect quinn to install all of this during the off-season. it’s still painful to watch the guys go down like this. we are also in desperate need of a consistent forward lol.
It’s mcYikes
Just eye test you can tell the Hawks are actually getting a decent amount of open shots
They miss them and then Murray decides to take the hardest looking pull up middy you’ve ever seen (to his credit, he makes more than you’d expect)
So much for Trae not getting enough open looks because of spacing excuse.
Thats exactly what I was saying after last game. Trae’s mediocre performance was far from our biggest problem. 3/20 from 3 for our forwards is horrendous especially considering the amount of wide open looks (like 75% of them). We have shot like trash most of the year from 3 (again especially considering shot quality).
💯facts
damn didn’t know kev was shooting so bad
