  1. AD plays soft offensively far too often

E: Don’t bother replying to me if you’re gonna blame it on the refs or him getting doubled lol

You think AD is the only star that gets doubled or doesn’t get the calls he wants?

  2. boyharsher-

It’s probably Xavier Tillman’s best game of his career. It’s a seven-game series. Let’s see if he can do it again Saturday.

  3. ehehehuahe

This team has too many inconsistent players, it’s frustrating to watch.

  4. Harleytk24

Surprised we only lost by 10, onto the next game

  5. meengine

When AD plays bad, he plays baaaaad. While D’lo added this game tanking his Lakers contract audition.

Got one on the road tho.

  6. Conflict_NZ

Never underestimate this team’s ability to play down to competition, cruise when an opposing player is out and just not respect other teams in general. Hell, when JJJ went back to the locker room the Lakers couldn’t take their foot off the gas any more than they had so they got out of the damn car, Grizzlies doubled their lead in that time. What a disgrace.

The entire first quarter the Lakers looked like they were offended that they had to be there to play the game. Not running any offense, it was just iso after iso for a long shot without movement. Outside of AD nobody was playing defence. Lebron has to stop sagging off people at the three point line, by my count he gave up at least 5 from sagging down to the paint, including that three by brooks with 90 seconds to go.

They tried to turn it on in the 3rd but looked gassed after a few minutes of hard effort, which the Grizzlies took advantage of to grow the lead again.

Also what is up with DLo? Every other game the dude looks like he’s forgotten how to play Basketball. This game he was struggling just to dribble at the top of the three point line.

  7. OsmosisJonesFanClub

This team alwaaaaays falls behind early and just expects to grind out a win. We are always so nauseatingly slow in the 1st quarter.

We can’t just expect to mount large comebacks against hungry playoff teams. We aren’t playing mediorce/tanking teams anymore who give up as the game goes on. We need that energy from the jump.

  8. ImjustANewSneaker

Pathetic showing from AD, you can’t be the guy and do that. He’ll never take the reins from LeBron

  9. thousandtokens

    some takeaways from this game:

    1. D-Lo must have the playoff nerves. Hopefully gets his shot back.
    2. Rui is getting better and the three ball is falling, we have to keep him prominently involved as the series progresses.
    3. We could benefit from experimenting with running AD at the 4 and Bamba at the 5. Need to match size with size.
    4. Vanderbilt needs to get better at finishing at the rim. We lost out on a lot of easy potential buckets off his cuts.
    5. Still weary of Darvin Ham and his rotations. The lineup to end the second quarter was not effective. TBJ and Beasley should not be on the floor if they’re both cold.
    6. Bron can’t start games being too passive.

Let’s refocus, increase the intensity and get them in game 3!

  10. levantoo

We got beat by a 6’7 3rd string center. Damn shame.

  11. icewizzzz

embarrassing effort from AD and DLo and a coach who spots the other team 10 points a game with his dumbass lineups

  12. pixel_affection

Not worried tbh. I don’t think AD will have another offensive disasterclass like this.

  13. We NEED to come out with more urgency in these games. Especially with no Ja very stealable game

  14. Austin_Reaves

Sucks we lost but the series is split, let’s take care of business at home

  15. 322onRed

Lakers actually won the second half…they just put in a shit effort the first half.

  16. Don’t think AD will play this bad again. But I don’t have faith in DLo unfortunately

  17. robert0076

Grizzlies plan was to foul so much that the refs need to swallow their whistle all game and it worked

  18. Losing a very winnable game hurts, but we did our job and stole one. Time to defend home court.

  19. ![gif](giphy|SrDsJj5i1Chm8)

that early non calls on AD drives set the tone whole game.

  20. Temporary_Age8723

We can’t shoot 26.9% behind the 3pt-line and expect to win games. We will have to step up big time.

  21. WeCantBothBeMe

Not Malik Monk showing himself to be a better 3rd option on a playoff team than D’Angelo. This guy does not deserve the pay increase he wants.

  22. 824Mentality

AD needs to step up. There’s no way around it.

  23. kplaker220

Lots of blame to go around (Ham shitty lineups, D’lo and AD) but damn Vando is an offensive liability.

  24. Jubez187

Russ out playing everyone we traded him for

  25. Zombiebeast101

Eh they played their worst possible game today and the score was still close lol I ain’t worried about it. They got the split they needed and now are going home they gonna stomp them at crypto

  26. hawkins126

This game just shows how good grizzlies are tbh

  27. sirtalonAOEII

We need Nick Nurse, Darvin Bin Laden guarantees we will be a first round exit every year he coaches.

  28. Mood_Academic

This loss is on AD and DLo

    It’s as simple as that

  29. SanctusXCV

AD has a couple of days to realize he’s about to be in Staples Center and needs to toughen up mentally. He looked completely defeated by the first quarter

  30. What a piss poor showing from AD and DLo tonight.

  31. bowlcutsrbad101

    Positive takeaways:

    * Rui is Him;
    * AD can’t shoot any worse next game;
    * Hard to imagine Bron will have two rough showings in a row; and
    * Staples will be rocking the next two games.

In all fairness, AD and Bron struggled – only Rui had it going, and there was still a chance down the stretch.

  32. ginbooth

A wasted opportunity but we achieved our overall goal. Also, the refs were definitely like, “JJJ just won DPOY…we’re gonna let him play and not call anything for the Lakers.”

  33. Prestigious_Value534

We need to start playing a real Center when AD is out. He’s getting to comfortable. Get TT or Bamba some training. Heck we could go 2020 and play either one in a starter role if AD plays soft.

  34. annoyedboy671

L is on DLo, Davis, and Ham. Its ok we did our job, stole homecourt. However, it is clear as day that Davis is having trouble with their size and Ham refuses to even try Bamba and AD together (or Bamba at all) to see if it takes some pressure off AD. No coach in Lakers history has infuriated me so much.

He really even put Vando on JJ at one point in the fourth. Ham is not fit for the job imho I dont know what connections he must have to have been hired in the first place. I hated how Vogel benched Dwight last year but it came out that it was politics. Ham is our weak point.
