[Cunningham] Mike Brown received 100% of the first place vote and becomes the first head coach to win the award unanimously. Impressive result after an impressive first season in Sacramento.

They gotta light the beam for this tonight

  2. Taking a non-playoff team to the best offense in the league and the 3 seed seems worthy enough for a unanimous vote. Well deserved.

I USED TO PRAY FOR TIMES LIKE THIS

This Warriors series is really putting his expertise on display. A lot of fans probably didn’t get to see him much during the regular season, but the dude wholly deserved a unanimous vote, watching him make in-game adjustments and read the game as it flows is awesome.

he brought the NBA’s perennial punching punch into the playoffs. i think that alone was worth the vote

100% deserves it. The culture he’s help build in Sacramento is electric, and this is only year one

Coach brown so smart yeah yeah yeah

It may be unpopular but I’m just going to say it: the Kings made the correct decision to fire Luke Walton and hire Mike Brown.

Not only did he break a 17 year long playoff drought, he also got them HCA in the first round.

I fail to see how Domantas Adolf Hitler Sabonis ripping draymonds leg off and then beating him to death with the basketball plays into this.

A lot of credit to go around in Sac, but glad Brown is getting the recognition be deserved. Kings in 5

He absolutely deserves it. I’m also pretty impressed with Brooklyn and OKC’s head coaches. They did better than I thought they would this year. Brooklyn especially despite the turmoil they’ve had with their roster.

  13. VitricTyro

Absolutely deserved. Congrats to coach Brown.

Shudder at the “What if they hired Gentry” thought. Shits crazy to see we 2-0 in playoffs and the 3rd seed.

But did he get voted as the coach of the All Star game? No! 🙂 /s

They’ve come a long way from that clip of brown screaming lol

This kings team reminds me of the 2001 76ers. We’ll see what happens.

I never viewed Mike very highly.. probably because of the Lakers days. Thinking back, I don’t even remember why I didn’t like him.

He’s done an incredible job in Sac Town.

It’s kind of funny that Mike Brown, Ty Lue, and Erik Spoelstra are all now highly respected coaches, when they definitely had the reputation of riding Lebron’s coattails at first.

Have all the voting results been released?

Kings were the poverty franchise to end all poverty franchises, now they’re out there looking like potential contendors. Mike Brown is a mf wizard.

Mike Brown winning COTY is not something I had on my “lifetime NBA event” card

  23. ImperialTiger3

Well deserved, I personally thought they were going to be play in/bottom of playoffs. No one expected a 3rd seed.

  24. jasdoit1

I mean he took the kings to the playoffs and 2nd seed in the west. Well deserved

  25. SrEllipsis

Yeah this was the only choice. What a fucking job.
