Scottie Barnes, Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, Chris Boucher, Gary Trent Jr. and O.G. Anunoby give their thoughts on having Nick Nurse as their head coach.
Nurse’s name was linked to a few coaching vacancies during the Raptors’ disappointing 22-23 campaign. He added fuel to the possibility of his tenure in Toronto coming to the end with some cryptic comments about examining his future in March. The 2020 Coach of the Year has reportedly one season remaining on his contract which only adds another question to a long list for management as the Raptors aim to rebound from a season that didn’t mean expectations.

…and that’s the problem with NN. Too much freedom and allowing players to do as they want. Ur a coach…not a fan! Coach them! Guide them!! Direct them! Yes….cheer them on n encourage them but you can’t give a player so much freedom n’ then bench them cuz they aren’t playing well. He doesn’t know how to combine players for plays and just doesn’t know who and when to put in players during crucial times. Love NN as a person and asst coach but as head coach…gotta go.

Ask players like Justin Champ, Mal Flynn, Delano, and all those guys that dont play. Plus do you expect them to say hes a bad coach lol

Nick isn’t a bad coach it’s just the situation the front office has put him in is bringing out his bad qualities. A lot of us now NN can’t coach offense at an elite level but giving him a roster full of non skilled players top to down and expecting him to turn water into wine is absurd. What’s also absurd is giving that man the worst bench for the second year in a row and acting surprised when someone who wants to win isn’t throwing out garbage players. Does Nick have his flaws of course he does like when he throws players under the bus but those can be fixed but for the fans to act like he’s been the worst coach in basketball because of his own ability is crazy. Masai Ujiri and Bobby Webster are responsible for this stop scapegoating Nick Nurse

Nick nurse is a goofy type of coach always talking I think I think stop thinking know something we need a new coach and Fred Van vleet gone there were two of the biggest problems on the they weren't solutions but big problems if Fred is back and Nick nurse comes back to the Raptors next year I'm done I'm reading them off like a bad car accident
Fred loves NN as he treated Fred like his son to do whatever Fred wants even he played bad most of the season even with an ugly 39% FG. No one else will treat a role player like a franchise star player.

Can NN coach a team of high IQ skilled veterans and win? Yes. Can NN develop players as an assistant? Yes. Can he successfully coach a mixture, win and develop? The results say no. He got blindsided by his old baby child VV and let him highjack the offense with ineffective inefficient stat stuffing. Fred is toxic. Been saying it since the bubble when he quit on the team for political/social reasons. He constantly calls himself a leader of great battles. He is a Piss poor leader who knows nothing of a war or a battle. He’s never fought one. So by his own admission he knows nothing about such things and can talk only nonsense in reference to such. A prime example of where “shut up and dribble” needs applied. Dribbling, brick chucking and throwing his team under the bus are his specialty. It’s i i i when they win; and team team team when they lose. TOXIC!!!!! You dare ask why the champions/leaders all wanted out after the bubble? Look no farther.
Get rid of him, the reason we won that chip was because of the insane basketball IQ in our starting 5… His “defensive schemes” were abysmal all year
Bad season for Nick Nurse but he at least has a NBA championship ring and is in Embiid's head rent free 😂. He's had some of his worst games against Nurse!
Good coach? Keeping the bench players on the bench whole season. Coach has a major say in team selection. It’s coach or front office, select someone and if they not good keep them and good ones do not get a proper chance to play. We release good players when they go to other teams they give results ? Experiments time should be over after last three seasons

We don’t need a “play freely” coach.. we need order, accountability, schemes and competent rotations.
