Steve Kerr defends Draymond Green’s history, Grizzlies better without Ja Morant? | NBA | THE HERD

No Ja Morant, no problem for the Memphis Grizzlies. The team defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 103-93 in Game 2. While Ja may be the team’s star, Memphis is 33-17 (past two seasons) without the guard. Colin Cowherd explains why this proves the Grizz are better without Ja. Meanwhile, Draymond Green will serve his one-game suspension for Game 3 tonight against the Sacramento Kings. The Golden State Warriors are down 2-0 and looking to get a victory on the board. Despite Draymond’s on-court decisions, Steve Kerr and GM Bob Myers defend his history as they are crucial to the Warriors dynasty and four titles. Colin explains why he agrees with Kerr and Meyers.

  1. I'm not sure about the Grizzlies being better without Morant, but it's interesting to consider how the team dynamics might change.

  2. Ja, Luka and Trae are prime examples of how heliocentric basketball simply doesn’t win anything. All those years we watched Harden in Houston prove that too. ❤

  3. The Warriors are scared of Draymond. He’s a bully and has a big mouth. If they were honest, he’s cost them games and a championship

  4. You get a game suspension for leaving the bench. You get a game for throwing a punch. Even if it don't land. But a stomp on someone chest does not warrant a suspension. I'm confused.

  5. Ja is the young Westbrook. They are not going to win a championship with him.Put SGA in this team with Bane JJJ Brooks and Clark and they are a championship contender every season.Of course keep Tyus Jones as the Backup PG

  6. I wouldn’t say grizzlies are “better” without Morant, sometimes when your star gets injured teams rally and come together – think that’s more in line with what happened

  7. I’m only watching this clip because he’s talking about my Grizzlies other then that this guy always puts his foot in his mouth and I actually predicted this take from him…he just took a year to say it🤦🏾‍♂️ Gotta boycott dude smfh

  8. I would put Kyrie Erving in that category also. These guys are great as a number 2 when it's time to get a basket but they need a real alpha to run the team.

  9. Steve Kerr is your typical far left liberal. Never takes any blame and responsibility / accountability are foreign concepts.

  10. this is right, but you could say the same thing about lebron. he has had the worst +/- on his team the last 3 games in a row. his stats are good but the team always makes their big runs when he sits down. i think he should sit down a lot more.
you might be able to say it about steph and maybe even giannis too. did you see how easily the bucks won without giannis last night? hes so amazing offensively And defensively you would think they would just be helpless when he is out. but they played better. i imagine its a weird thing playing with a superstar. i think players have a tendency to 2nd guess themselves or stand watching when they have a big star on the floor.

  11. These are still young players. They have to learn how to play the game the right way. It took a lot of greats a while to figure out how to be great but also be within a system. Lighten up a bit

  12. Oh shut up Colin…. Stop defend Drama Green. Warriors can’t wait to get rid of that drama

  13. Reminder that Colin Cowherd still fails to communicate how there's a MAJOR conflict of interest anytime he talks about Draymond Green: Draymond Green is literally his employee. Draymond's podcast "The Draymond Green Show" is owned by The Volume. The Volume is Colin Cowherd's company. Of course Colin is going to talk good about one of his employee's, as he's literally making money off of Draymond through the subscribers that pay to use "The Volume" and hear different podcasters including Draymond Green.

  14. This is my opinion. Grizzlies are a better team without Ja, but not good enough to win a chip. If Ja is playing, they could win. You need that superstar to win the championship. You look at every single team who won the Finals, there is always 1 superstar and 2-3 stars. Most of the time there are actually at least 2 superstars. It’s kind of looks confusing to say they’re better without him but they have a better chance to win the chip with him. Like the overall team witbout him can keep you afloat and they play better as a TEAM without him. But Ja is the only player on that team that can take over a game consistently. Name one other player on that team that could consistently get you 30. Desmond Bane? No. He’ll get you 30, but if he had to do it for multiple games then he simply wouldn’t be able to. I hope that makes more sense now.

  15. horrible take, get him off air, ja is a great player , changed the aspect of impact of big games boy a dawg

  16. People love Rodman bc he was a pest , a troll, a clown even at times. Draymond is just genuinely a dirty player
