\-The main question mark this season was how Ant fits with Dame as a starter on the court. He gives an answer without a verdict just saying the sample size requirement of assessment is now complete. When pressed on it further he asserts hes confident with the pair going forward but then voluntarily starts talking about filling out the roster with more depth and not being just top heavy. I feel like this is a clear indication that Ant is a trading piece to acquire that goal. You could also assume from this that Ant will be involved in a trade that will require multiple players to increase depth
\-will be very active in the trade market/free agrency. Roster should look different next year in regards to getting older and deeper.
\-Jody is willing to go into the luxury tax, but it has to be at an appropriate time with the appropriate moves.
\-having a g league team is being discussed and they are hopeful for getting one
\-using the leagues parity and the Sacramento Kings as an example, they do not believe a “superteam” is required to win a title. You just need the right players with the right mindset and fit.
\-Shaedon has an incredibly high ceiling the only question is how long he can sustain high level of play while still being very early in his career. Later on in his career he has no doubt Shaedon will be able to. Hes talented, mature and versatile enough on both ends of the court to be a starter next year and has handled being a rookie better than most young players.
\-Trying to shape the roster to be as good as we can be as quickly as possible for Dame is the #1 priority. This also includes chemistry and fit, not just talent level
\-very confident that the Trailblazers can be at least a 4/5 seeded team next year
\-Joe stated the pro of his job is getting know the culture of the org and all its intracacies, the con is sometimes he gets typecasted as only knowing one particular of the franchise well ( hes “the cap guy”

Sounds to me like they’ll have Chauncey use a lot of Sharpe to start the season, and if he can stay at a high level, he’ll be untouchable. If he can’t consistently be that guy this early, maybe we can move him at the deadline.
That’d suck a lot. The kid looks amazing. But it’s pretty clear that the goal of the organization is building around Dame, so parting with a player who has a really clear upside may be able to get us some solid depth and perhaps a good starter.
I can see a team swinging for Shaedon, but like I said, really sucks if they end up moving probably the most promising prospect we’ve had since Dame.
They are sending Nick Nurse and then he’s joining Billups as a highly paid assistant.
If Jody won’t go into lux tax we should trade Dame right now so that’s very good news. Hope she follows through with it.
