Just hope we can still close out this series and that the Hawks push the Celtics to 6.

Literally every single year. He misses playoff games with injuries. Can’t catch a break.

Someone tell me how bad is this injury

  5. ThatBull_cj

I’m so tired of having to play playoff game without the franchise player.

But it should only be one game. Get it done and move on. We know how to play without him, get the correct game-plan and win

Fuckkkkk, but tbh feels like we dodged a bullet

Why is everybody in doom mode? This is like the best case scenario

  8. brokenoreo

    Let hit get some rest.

Harden, maxey, and b-ball Paul gotta take over and win game 4. Hope hawks hold these lead on the Celtics and our series get pushed.

on the bright side, at least his face isn’t broken

  10. pagonator

This is literally just the same shit on repeat every playoff run

I’m fine with him getting rest for the boston series, if anything we’ll probably play better against brooklyn without the constant double and triple teams

  12. Processedtfup

We’re protecting him. Jacque had a plan to injure him tomorrow.

I floated this out to a buddy a few hours ago. Embiid is probably banged up enough to warrant giving him the day off. Either they close out without him and he gets rest before round 2 or we come home and finish it out. Chill out guys, there’s a good chance this is just cause we probably don’t need him and why put him in harms way when the Nets are clearly playing hockey out there.

It did cross my mind today that maybe we should rest Jo for game 4. I don’t know…this feels load managementy…

  15. Eh honestly let him rest. The nets will be back doing the same bullshit again with the elbows to the back and other cheap shots that build up over time. We should still sweep and hopefully Atlanta keeps beating Boston here tonight. This is also why I wouldn’t have been too mad about a suspension either, his back is sore too clearly. We’ll still have the brooms out. Having him ready for Boston is 1000x more important than dealing with the bs the Nets have been on, he’s gotten lots of double team reps already

This definitely happened when Cam Johnson grabbed his fucking knee after falling over for whatever it’s worth, but you won’t see anyone talking about that

  17. mrHartnabrig

He winced throughout most of that game.

You won’t catch me doing the obvious, “this dude can’t stay healthy in the playoffs” or “oh god, it’s over for us”.

Everybody in the playoffs is dealing with chronic injuries of various degrees. In addition, last year when Embiid went out, this team had an excuse. Given the time they’ve had to build chemistry, there are really no excuses to not take care of the Nets.

The issue isn’t that this is the best case scenario injury wise (which it is) it’s that year after year our best player and league MVP gets injured in the playoffs and legitimately costs a chance to go deeper. It’s not his fault but damn is it sad.

  19. Frankenf00te

Ruined the nets whole gameplan now they have to actually try playing basketball

Relax he’ll be back… enjoy the victory tour now

  22. Whyguyborgor

Embiid was fine enough to play through it in the fourth, I doubt he’s seriously hurt and we are just trying to be extra cautious

  23. BuddyTheDog92

This feels like load management, not a real injury.
