This outcome always felt inevitable, but it’s just disappointing how it went down. At least we can look to the future and not dwell on this. We all knew this season wasn’t it.

  2. DiscoCheatz

Is Joe Harris the worst player in the history of the galaxy?

  3. Gorgonzola44

Tsai and Marks should already be on a plane to Nick Nurse’s house

  4. Lot of this roster seeing the Taiwan tigers soon

  5. It’s lame af to make fake accounts to try and make the nets fan base look bad. Some of y’all need to get a life fr

  6. Hot_Sports_Take

    #We don’t deserve a post game thread….

  7. I had more fun watching the 2020 team play against the Raptors.

  8. Healthy_Boss_9757

Embarrassing. Absolutely embarrassing. Didn’t expect to advance, but what a dreadful performance throughout the series.

  9. Independent-Hour-246

well… that was upsetting. i truly don’t have much hope for sean in the offseason but hopefully he surprises me.

  10. guccigirlswag

0 positives from this series if I’m honest. If I’m the owner I’m asking serious questions from my coaching staff and organization.

  11. raidersclnj

101,84,97,88, Is on coaching not the GM. We need a new coach.

  12. andrewbrod11

Man what a stinker. Everyone looked beat even before they started losing. Way too many second chance points and laziness. They let a 6’2 Melton tip in his own rebound

  13. KingofthisShit

Interested to see how Marks tries to salvage this team over the Summer and JV isn’t a playoff/developmental coach, he should have no future with this team.

  14. wintercvlt

Horrible year for Nets. Kai’s antics, re-built mid-season, double sweep. I hope we do the right moves this summer and get where we should be.

And people that shitting on players and coaching staff should chill the fuck out. Ain’t even prime Phill Jackson would handle so much bs with a fucking ring.

  15. calye2da

This roaster needs a complete overhaul. Too many 3&D guys who can’t make a damn 3 smh.

  16. BKtoDuval

We don’t need all the kyrie drama to get swept.

We are a collection of good complementary players. Let’s get that dude we need and we’ll be in good shape.

  17. Both_Funny4896

people here deadass think the nets are getting dame for cam johnson and a couple picks 💀

  18. WayofHatuey

See y’all next season. Didn’t expect a chip but being swept 2 playoff series in a row is bullshit

  19. just_so_irrelevant

Just gonna copy my comment from the game thread because I feel like a lot of you guys need to come back down to reality:

    > I find it funny how before the playoffs everyone was in agreement that we would probably get swept but might squeak out a win if we get lucky, and now that we are actually likely to get swept people are crying and shitting themselves. Not saying we aren’t playing horribly because we are and this hurts to watch but I just thought the reaction was interesting.

Yeah Game 3 and 4 were absolutely winnable but we dropped both in disgusting fashion. Sucks to watch, but it is what it is. People are gonna look for a scapegoat but there is none, our team as built right now just has a lot of gaping holes that no amount of “adjustment” or “rotation” is gonna fix, especially not against a team as good as the Sixers.

The expected outcome happened. Now it’s about the offseason. All eyes are on Marks. That is all.

  20. shadow_spinner0

What do you want to see in the offseason? Do you want to stay the course or make significant changes or improve piece by piece, bit by beat. Do you think the FOC and coach deserves another year or should everything be cleaned out. Or should the FO stay and JV go and look for an improvement there?

  21. TwinPeakyBlinders

Any chance we’ll have a normal year next year? I’m tired

  22. mercfan3

I think only Clax, Cam J, and Mikal are definite “build around” pieces.

I would be interested in seeing Cam T with a different coach.

Vaughn needs to go. Plenty of quality coaches are available. Go get one.

They need a play maker/Pg. I think that Din would make a good sixth man.

There are some quality players to work around – but there are some definite changes that need to be made too.

  23. mentholsdruid

I hope next season I won’t see oneale harris curry mills dinwiddie and jv in the team

  24. OkExternal1776

Marks traded harden for literally nothing and traded literally Everything for him.

  25. AyyyeRudy

I mean this at the bottom of my heart, Fuck this poverty ass franchise 110%

I can’t believe I let JKidd and VC convince me that THIS is the team I should root for. 40 points in the 2nd half WITHOUT Embiid is embarrassing. These last 2 years have been the most frustrating experience rooting for this 🤡 ass franchise. 12-70 didn’t give me this much pain. Idk what the future holds, honest more pain knowing this team.

Enjoy the offseason Nets fan, love y’all 🖤🤍

  26. Disastrous-Fruit-487

Treat yourself tonight… it’s hard being a long time nets fan.

  27. This is why JV is a joke, can’t adjust at all he only wants to shoot 3 even when we go for a 7/34. In the 3rd quarter we were in the bonus with like 7minutes left and 0 drive, we keep with all that bricks.

Embiid isn’t here, Claxton has 15 points in the first half and we dont feed him idk why

Harris can’t rebound, defend and now shoot but he rather play him than Watanabe or Sumner

  28. JohnFish2734

In hindsight should have just tanked to try to get in the lottery range.

Mikal disappeared, but I’m hopeful of him to improve. Specifically his playmaking and efficiency.

Cam Johnson has shown some flashes but also needs to work on his efficiency.

Clax was solid all year really happy with his development.

JV needs to go or they need to hire a offensive minded assistant coach bc he has no clue what he’s doing at that end. Holly fuck how many times do we have to see the game spiral out of control when Seth and Joe are on the court together for him to realize to stop doing that.

Cam Thomas needs to either get traded or have a plan to guarantee him consistent minutes. Its crazy how you have that much scoring potential just siting on the bench, when the team is struggling to score.

  29. CakeSandwich

It’s a really rough way to end the season but as a new fan I’ve really enjoyed watching the nets since the trade. It’s a young team, a team with a lot of potential and a lot of heart, and we picked up some good wins along the way. Have a good summer and see y’all next season.

  30. shahoftheworld

    From the coaching staff:

I want to know why Sumner and Yuta got kicked out of the rotation or why they didnt at least try to have Thomas generate offense when everyone else went cold, but Patty Mills got minutes when he was removed from the rotation early in the year and rarely played. No, I don’t think the result would have changed, but that’s not why I’m asking.

I want to know why the team had good ball movement after the trade deadline, but abandoned that quickly.

I want to know why they didn’t attack players in foul trouble or take advantage when the 76ers were in the penalty.

    From the front office:

I want to know if they have plans to address the team’s lack of rebounding, a pure point guard who can allow Dinwiddie to play his more natural position, and someone who can be a number 1 option so Bridges can have an easier time as a number 2 where he can thrive.

  31. Time to sit back and enjoy watching the Celtics sweep Philly.

  32. StatisticianElegant2

JV needs to go, not only were his lineups suspect his offense lacked any creativity and I know y’all aren’t gonna like it but he encouraged cheap shots and dirty play. Ex: Claxton taking shots to Sixers backs on rebounds

  33. Vaughn playing lineups that never played together in the regular season tells me everything I need to know about this game. Our starters didn’t play their best today, but our bench was our downfall this whole series. Can’t believe Joe Harris played as much as he did this series after seeing how badly he was shooting from 3 – JV playing Patty over Sumner, Yuta, and Cam was also ridiculous when all 3 would have more impact than him. Sumner and Cam deserved a bigger role this season but our coach refused to play them sadly. Seeing our effort go down after halftime was disappointing from a team that was about to get eliminated.

Either way, looking forward to the next season, whether it involves giving Simmons and Thomas bigger roles or being involved in a blockbuster trade this off-season. I believe we’ll have a better showing than this next year
