  1. raptors media is so incredibly soft it's honestly pathetic but that's what happens when it's so many minorities woke people and females. SMH

  2. Fred was the problem. His defense and hogging the ball made the offense stick. I hope Masai tells Fred to leave and we draft a new big PG that can guard at the point of attack.

  3. I’m not blaming Fred or saying he’s a bad player I just think his play style which fit so well with this team a few years ago, doesn’t fit as much with what we need right now

  4. 2:27 "no team requires their starters to pitch a perfect game"

our starters definitely didn't pitch a perfect game from the free throw line.

Our best starter shot 57% from the free throw line, which is 20% below his average (Scottie)
OG shot below 50% at the free throw line (3 for 8)
Pascal shot below 50% at the free throw line (5 for 11)
    Fred shot 50% (3 for 6)
    Poeltl shot 50% (1 for 2)

We had double the free throw attempts we usually would get. If we shot our average FT%, we would've had 10 additional points. (28 vs 18)

Poeltl is our worst free throw shooter as far as I know, definitely the worse starter, but the weird thing us missing a lot of free throws didn't have much to do with Poeltl. He was responsible for 1 miss.

Zach Levine shot 13 for 15 from the FT line.

  5. GÀRY TRENT JR when he
    played didn't recovered
    completly from the back
    injuries. Missed 8 games
    couldn't come back to be💯

  6. You addressed the issue of the terrible benches Masai, likes to build, because of his obsession with building benches from low grade "D" projects.

  7. @Asad Alvi. Every player on the bench would have improved given more minutes. Practice makes perfect, right?

  8. Enough of this mediocrity and only building from within. We need guys with some fucking skill and talent. You can’t fill your roster with only D and G leaguers and expect to win consistently. Masai has actually failed us since 3-4 years. One championship and a nose dive isn’t the most prudent plan of action. Except for the Kawhi trade, Masai and Bobby haven’t even done a decent job building our roster. They’ve actually sucked ass. Look at guys like Aaron Banes, Bembry, Barton, Banton, Stanley Johnson, RHJ, like wtf?! Seriously. Who of these guys is even a good shooter and / or defender? We sign or trade for guys that we end up cutting or not giving minutes to.

That reputation of the Raps’ amazing front office and player development bbgghas gone to the dogs. Shame on all of the guys in charge.

You cannot win or even go far with Siakam and FVV as your top two players. They’re just not cut out for it. Your number 1 guy shouldn’t look scared and miss 2 out of 3 free throws in clutch time of a win or go home game. Utterly embarrassing.

  9. Nick Nurse is the problem😡😡he doesn’t develop any player and he is not a good coach😡😡we won the championship because coach Dewan Casey did all the job and also we got kwahi

  10. Nope, The Raptors need a philosphy restoration..Next man up, hard nose swarming defense, hussle and fight for every loose ball and possesion. 2019 Raptors.

  11. imman, youre right. We dont need 4 games against the Bucks to know what the team was.
We knew what we were at game 20.

  12. So no one is to blame, the team is talented enough but they’re literally .500

This sounds like a low iq and poorly coached team who are lacking an elite closer to bail them out, Siakam is an amazing player but when the game gets under 2 minutes he completely disappears. Scottie did ok but he proved he lacks polish and proves he needs to level up his offensive tools. OG is such an embarrassment on the offensive end and couldn’t even give u elite defense in the 2nd half on Demar/Lavine. Fred is just the wrong PG for this type of team, he calls his own number too much, can’t create advantages like a top pg but is given usage and minutes like he is one. This team is full of guys who are put in a role they all aren’t good enough to fully fulfil, this is the sad truth.

Solution? Get them a damn bench with multiple lacking profiles (guard creators/movement shooters/floor spacing bigs) and stop playing everyone 38 mpg and hold them accountable. FVV should have been benched so many times this yr but he wasn’t this sets a bad precedent.

  13. Why I believe. Simon's is exciting for us.

I found this thread on Reddit.

Ask me for any need in references:

    – I’d really love for Anfernee Simons to be the Raptors starting point guard next year. 46/41/94 splits.
I see a lot of us salivating over the idea of bringing Shaedon Sharpe home but I don’t think Portland would throw Simons, Sharpe & their lottery pick all into a deal for Pascal. If we can’t get Sharpe, I still think we should pursue the trade for Simons. Assuming FVV is gone, I’m ready to build around Barnes, Simons & OG

I wanted this guy big time at the deadline. I think he is exactly what the team needs and his age fits perfectly with Scottie/OG. While I would love Sharpe too, I highly doubt Portland trades him. He's constantly been mentioned as untouchable and I don't think Pascal is the level of player that would entice them to trade him. Still, Simons, a Portland lottery pick and some other goodies could be really good for us. Personally I don't see the Raptors FO trading Siakam unless its for a serious overpay.

The thing that makes me happy is because, right now as an offensive system player Draymond Green is better by his defense but there is virtually no difference between Scottie and Draymmond green and Scottie is only 21 yrs old, can play iso moves can find mismatch because 6-9 and I strongly believe he can accumulate much more basketball IQ and moves in his career.

If you want my opinion, Scottie has surpassed Draymmond green, by his offensive ability and he is already adding more offensive moves.

    There's no difference between

As an offensive system, one is younger one is older in age. but there's virtually zero difference between :

    Domantas Sabonis ( 18 pts, 10 rebonds 6 assists + DeAron Fox ( 20-25 pts)

Scottie ( 28 pts and 12 assists against Philly ) + Giddey ( with at least one or two shooters )

    Scottie ( 5assists per game) + Simon's

    Scottie+ Sharpe

    Scottie + Poole

Scottie+ Tre mann ( from OKC)

    Scottie+ Jaden Ivey

    Scottie + Cam Thomas

The only difference is can we keep our defense by keeping OG ? I believe Yes. OG can be our Kevin Huerter, lights out from three, the way he did throughout the month of March.

Will we keep the defense with Pascal stating? I believe not. Siakam no longer plays defense.

Could we even improve the defense by getting JK ( from warriors) Dieng or JRE ( From Warriors) , DFS ( from Brooklyn Nets)

  14. Let FVV and Trent Jr. walk (maybe don't pick up Thad Young although I do like him), bring in a coach who can get a half court offence running and bring in someone who can hit a 3. Nickeil Alexander-Walker would be cheaper than Trent and a home town player, draft a top starting defensive minded PG (Cason Wallace?)… Coby White, maybe Thybulle could be affordable….

  15. What about Fred having the 5th worst fg% in the league and shooting 20+ shots per game.

  16. This is hilarious. This has been the Raptors system for years now. No one holds Nurse accountable until Fred needs a scape goat. Fred is terrible leader, he always blames others. He threw Pascal under the bus for the free throws and then throws Nurse under the bus instead of taking responsibility. He also fed the Scotty narrative about not working hard enough. He needs to go and we need a new coach with better interpersonal skills and line up management.
