A pro Maxey article to celebrate the sweep and the much needed rest for our guys. I’ve often posted about what a versatile swiss army knife Maxey is offensively and this article shows exactly what I mean. There’s not one thing you can take away from Maxey’s game and then that’s it.
Sure, you can say to yourself ‘take away his straight line drives’, but by becoming one of the NBA’s most lethal shooters, that has become a naught impossible task for defenses.

I love Tyrese. He is god’s gift to the city of Philadelphia.
But I don’t think he’s unguardable by any means.
He really struggles when longer, quick defenders cover him tightly. Forces bad shots, can’t get to the lane as easily, etc..
If he has someone like joel next to him – to take some of the pressure off – he is fucking lethal. All that man needs is a little bit of space when he first gets the ball… poof! he gone! And def one of the silkiest jumpers in the league.

The main thing I think he needs is a counter. He’s pretty straight line on all his drives right now. Gets junked up when someone guesses which side he’s doing and he doesn’t have a counter out of it. If he can add that they will be cookin

Good stuff. Jackson Frank is a great follow on Twitter for Sixers and NBA content in general

Holy hell the purple prose! This dude definitely was workshopping with Michael Pina. But it’s nice to see Maxey get some acknowledgment.
