The problem is the argument is saying if we keep the team as it currently is, then add Tatum, they would be contenders, but obviously in order to get any elite player like Tatum, you would have to give up some core pieces like Siakam.

He has since grown to a legit all star player, the notion that Siakam is the same player he was back then is beyond ridiculous. Plugging Tatum into the current Raptors roster makes them a contender for sure. 1st team all-nba player added to any playoff team is an automatic finals contender. Raptors are way better than their record showed this year.
