    💐💐💐🤭😘

  2. This chiller version of Thibs so good. Also love that coaches wear casual now instead of suits.

  3. Emergency-Double-875

The mustache changed him and I couldn’t be anymore proud

  4. I don’t think anyone recognized how his timeout after the cavs run just completely neutered the cavs for the rest of the game. then trusting RJ to be this focal in the offense after the season he’s had was a huge gamble and it’s paid off tremendously.

  5. But I was told Thibs doesn’t know how to make in-game adjustments the other day by someone in this sub 🤷🏽‍♂️.

Finally learned not to ride with Randle to the gates of Hell together, and for that we thank him.

That pick and roll with Rj& Brunson >

    Great adjustment from Thibs.

Definitely needed to bench Randle down the stretch. This series is just a bad matchup for him. Hopefully he responds next round

The Randle vibe was evident to every Knick fan. Such strange energy every moment on the floor. There is something eerie going on in that head…and we saw it two years ago Vs Hawks. Thibs keeping him out saved the season.

  10. amazing adjustments, took Brunson off Garland and expect him to pass to the big man on the inside only to pass it out. what a huge turnaround. Cavs froze their best player in exchange for Garland

  11. manfromfuture

I have hated on him but he is out coaching his counterpart.

  12. BackPains84

putting Quickley on Garland in the 4th was brilliant.

  13. Another adjustment not a lot of you are talking about.

Cavs were playing inside to Mobley in the paint shooting floaters over iHart.

Happened 2 times, subbed in Mitch, he swatted it next play.

    Perfect adjustment.

I was upset he didn’t put in Obi quicker in the third but I might have to take the L here. He probably knows Jules is hurt and anticipated he needed Obi to play the full 4th quarter

  15. datatadata

Thibs seems to have “figured out” how to get RJ to attack the mismatch after the switch. Also as others said, I love how this man took out Randle without hesitation. Randle’s body language was terrible and something needed to be done.

  16. Past-Chest-6507

I been down on RJ over the years, I been down on Leon, but I have NEVER wavered in my Thibs defense since Day 1 he was here.

I love what this man did coaching Boston, Chicago, and Minnesota, and was fucking STOKED when he became the Knicks coach.

Top 5 NBA coach at worst.

Let’s be real, Thibs of old would’ve definitely kept a hurt and hobbled Randle out there. Especially in a playoff series. Which could’ve had disastrous consequences if we make it to the semifinals. So I’m glad Thibs has evolved on that front haha

Thankfully our bench is amazing in times like this. Also on Randle: we can’t forget that he missed the last 2 weeks of the regular season with an ankle sprain. That’s absolutely huge as far as playoff performance go. People here will shit on him and he wasn’t efficient today by any means but he’s still putting it all out there for us

  18. phosphenTrip

The randle move, also his subs w hartenstein and Mrob. The last time he put mrob in after stein got reckless and Mitch makes a beautiful rotation the very next play on a garland pick n roll

  19. velocissimo

Johnnie Bryant too for being in his ear and always teaching the players

  20. top-knowledge

Thibs is putting on a coaching masterclass this series

  21. NYBulldog

didnt like the third quarter, but made up for it

  22. Nightwing_in_a_Flash

Those slip screen pass plays from JB all fourth quarter made my heart skip a beat.

  23. Proof_Insurance2611

Reminds me of the time Nick Saban benched starter QB Jalen Hurts for freshman Tua Tagovailoa in the Alabama-Georgia CFB national championship. A genius move that ultimately resulted in a comeback overtime win.

All this to say, I’ve gotten a lot of Saban vibes from Thibs with that gritty “trust the process” approach to coaching. Now add to the similarities a ballsy adjustment to take the advantage in a playoff series and the greatness is self-evident. As a Bama fan this is the highest praise I could possibly bestow another coach

  24. zestysnacks

Went to the Cavs/Knicks game back in jan, there was a guy parading up and down the stairs chanting “FI-RE THIBADEAUX” and nobody would join him and and the Knicks won

  25. xMarioTheSupahx

What he’s done against the best regular season defense is incredible. The rebounding and effort alone from the players was inspiring

  26. NYerInTex

This was my biggest oof as a fan this season. I was on the “we gotta move on” bandwagon. Then again, I think he was still playing Fournier, but damn was I wrong

  27. All these Sunday morning coaches been firing Tibs all season!

  28. Correct_Cartoonist

Never been a Thibs Fan but minus the 3rd quarter in game 4 he’s been FANTASTIC in this series!!!!!

  29. Vikingpride06

I was yelling at my tv in the third. When for some reason they slowed pace down with Randle on the floor. Playing right into Cavs style of play where they can attack on offense and get their bigs back setup for defense.

Took Randle back out started pushing the ball more and attacking on both ends. That’s not an easy move to pull a talent like Randle even when it’s obvious it’s an addition by subtraction move. As Randle just doesn’t match up well for us in this series. As Cavs are a better halfcourt team that lacks depth.

Hopefully Randle stays invoked and up though as he’s still a valuable player to this team given the right Matchup and we will need him.
