I know it is kind of a small sample size (only 9 games) and the Rockets had to deal with the 2016 Warriors, a hell of a team, but there is just something about a 14 point difference between regular and post season that is really concerning. I’d heard that JBB was good at developing teams in the regular season but the having them really struggle in the playoffs. Seems like we are seeing that here, for a variety of reasons.

I still believe we brought him on to develop and build culture. Teams do that and then get a win now coach

Even if we somehow manage to win the series I think we should replace JB with Nick Nurse. We need a coach who has been there and done that and knows what needs to be done to win a championship.

This isn’t it. We don’t see most of the stuff behind the scenes but you can tell these guys ride with JB. Plenty of material to dog on Mike Brown too but we just watched him win COY(again) with a complete underdog franchise.

The one good thing to come out of losing this series is hopefully the beginning of the end for JB. He did his job, got a young team to buy in on defense and maintains a good locker room. But now we need Xs and Os to maximize our guards playing together (instead of taking turns forcing a hot hand), establish an offense, and make adjustments during the game.

They need a new (additional) coach dedicated to researching playoff matchups.

jb’s fault for them not being able to put the ball in the basket on good looks?

He’s coached 9 playoff games including today lol. I swear people just throw stats out there bc confirmation bias without actually understanding them.
Yes, our team has been shit offensively this series. But scapegoating JB using PPG averages when he had a sample size of 5 before this series isn’t just stupid, it’s idiotic. It’s on everyone
