What would they even give y’all?

Y’all big dinwiddie fans in Portland?

I dunno. Doesn’t sound all that credible, honestly.

He may entertain the idea because he likes New York City and is close with Bridges but I think taking that route wouldn’t get him anywhere.

If Dame really wanted to leave and contend, I feel like him going to contend in Denver, Phoenix, or Philly would make more sense.

Send him to a team where he can be Finals MVP. I just don’t want Ben Simmons as my consolation prize lol

The issue with a Brooklyn trade is that Portland would suck for a long time: all of Brooklyn’s available picks are in the 2027-2029 range…

This seems like a weird fit and I doubt it’ll happen. From everything we’ve heard so far, Dame wants to give the front office a chance this offseason to build a real team. And if we fail then he’s gone next year (that’s how I’m interpreting recent events).

But let’s say for the sake of argument we do trade Dame this offseason. Brooklyn would really need to stretch to give us a package we like, it’ll probably revolve around picks plus vets to make the salary match, maybe throw in Claxton to make Cronin happy about young talent in the return. But who likes this deal? At that point Brooklyn isn’t a contender because Dame + Bridges isn’t gonna get to the finals, and Portland isn’t happy because we could likely get a better return from another team.

The only real reason this feels like a story is because Dame sat courtside and is friends with Mikal, other than that I can’t make sense of this being real news.
