Cam Johnson was 3/13 (1/6 from 3) and Mikal 4/14 before garbage time. Royce 1/5, Harris 0/4, Mills 0/2 and Curry 0/3. In those circumstances, the coach absolutely has to give Thomas a go. I can't put too much blame on joe or seth as they are bit part players when our 2 main starters consuming bulk of minutes are doing bugger all and not leading the way. Thomas put on 6 rapid-fire points in game 3 whilst earlier putting up 46 points on the same 3 sixers players incl their starting center Reed who was embiid like in that first playoff game against our starters. This showed me Thomas was playing with confidence against this mob and was the obvious choice but JV decides instead to throw a hail mary in with mills in a do or die match. Crazy stuff!

I'm a 6er fan and nets stuff keeps popping up for some reason lol but from what I seen, yall already have a solid squad with just a couple missing pieces, if you can get a true PG that facilitates, and another wing that can create for himself yall will be just fine. Draft a couple of defensive rim protectors, I think nets are closer to a playoff team than a rebuild.

Conclusion: The BEST and the most PROMINENT event that happened to the Nets this Season was Cam Thomas scoring 40 plus points 3 games in a row. He did, IN FACT, broke the Nets All Time record for the youngest player to have accomplished such a MONUMENTAL feat. Thus, Cam Thomas actually defeated JV 1 to NOTHING. JV could NEVER say that Cam Thomas couldn't have made a difference in the Play Offs.
Particularly, if he would've played Thomas weeks ago to form a much better chemistry/experience with the rest of the starting line up.
There's no justifiable reasons under the Sun to have benched Thomas during these critical Play Offs games; since he would've certainly made the difference in some of these games. JV did not want to take the chance for Cam Thomas to play the HERO and that's why I suspect he felt kinda satisfied at the beginning of the Post Game press conference. Meaning Cam Thomas chances of getting traded just went up about a 100 miles high. He wants Cam Thomas out of this team, because this was very PERSONAL for him.
I blame the Nets Organization as a whole for letting this happen. Why even sign a player like Moses Brown WHEN THEY DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO UTILIZE HIM?!! You know the Sixers have a gifted 7 ft. Tall Center, right?
Bottom line is that the Nets did have 2 or 3 bench players that were uniquely qualify to give the Sixers SERIOUS grief. Heck. I would've even put Somner over Spencer any day of the week, but that's just me!!
If Cam Thomas become an All Time Elite Superstar in the near future, and brings Championships trophies to another team- it would rank as the worst decision ever for any team. But not because a Superstar was traded but because the manner in which he was treated before the trade.
There are plenty of worse teams. Give us an off-season and relax
