One trade that I think you forgot about is that mikal Bridges was traded from the 76ers to the Phoenix Suns on draft night. For some guy that never played in the NBA more than one season

That Bill Russell trade for Ed Macauley and Cliff Hagan is NOT a one-sided trade.
Yes, Bill Russell is the greatest winner and 11 chips and all.. but both Macauley and Hagan end up winning the Chip with the Hawks too back in 58.
Plus, both Macauley and Hagan are HOF… so 1 HOF getting traded for 2 HOF…. seems like in one way, more one sided to the Hawks.

In hindsight. Yes Kobe was bad trade for hornet. But nobody knows how well players will do. Divac was established centre Allstar. So it wasn’t the worst deal at the time.

You have to take into account who the coach is. Red knew how to treat Russell. Another coach Russ might have had problems with. Plus Hawks might not have drafted two other hofers.
