  1. I hate that people always ignore to say that in Kobe trade, He said that he wasnt going to play for charlotte and was going to sit out… so they didnt have a chance to keep him.

  2. One trade that I think you forgot about is that mikal Bridges was traded from the 76ers to the Phoenix Suns on draft night. For some guy that never played in the NBA more than one season

  3. You're right. Mav's won that trade and are killing it in thw playoffs right, while the Hawks are home, comtemplating their future…

  4. the faults – tatum trade wouldn`t happen if philly planed on takin`tatum. boston would have taken tatum with the no1 pick the owned instead, and wouldn`t agree on a pick swap.

  5. What about Portland trading Gerald Wallace to the Nets for a future 1st….who ended up being Damien Lillard!!!

  6. damn i didn’t know about those potential players as a jazz fan 😛 one chip is all a franchise needs for a lot of arguments lol

  7. That Bill Russell trade for Ed Macauley and Cliff Hagan is NOT a one-sided trade.

Yes, Bill Russell is the greatest winner and 11 chips and all.. but both Macauley and Hagan end up winning the Chip with the Hawks too back in 58.

Plus, both Macauley and Hagan are HOF… so 1 HOF getting traded for 2 HOF…. seems like in one way, more one sided to the Hawks.

  8. Hawks traded Bill Russell because they knew they could never have him play for a team in the still segregated south

  9. Honorable mentions would be the thunder trading Ibaka to the magic for dipo and sabonis also kings and butler to the Sixers or the nets trading dr J to the Sixers for cash. Warriors giving up parish and a draft pick which would be mchale to the celtics

  10. Did the mavs win the trade? Mavericks aren’t in the playoffs and the Hawks just won a game in the playoffs against the Celtics.

  11. But you know how lottery works? If the Jazz drafted Magic, they would probably be too good to draft Nique, Stockton and Malone…

  12. In hindsight. Yes Kobe was bad trade for hornet. But nobody knows how well players will do. Divac was established centre Allstar. So it wasn’t the worst deal at the time.

  13. Didn’t the Celtics get Bill Russell in part due to the intense racism in Atlanta at the time?

  14. If the Jazz pick stayed, was still number 1, and was used to draft Magic Johnson, do you honestly think that they would have the opportunity to draft Wilkins, Stockton, and Malone?

  15. You have to take into account who the coach is. Red knew how to treat Russell. Another coach Russ might have had problems with. Plus Hawks might not have drafted two other hofers.

  16. I know Luka is better than trae but to say the mavs clearly won the trade when the hawks have been the same or better team throughout both their careers is crazy.

That Luka trade also netted the Hawks DJ Murray
