Source confirms Joel Embiid has a sprained LCL. He may have to wear a brace for the knee when he returns. There is some hope that he can play towards the beginning of the Sixers second round series but he will be playing through a knee injury @ramonashelburne was first

Works in our favor, but you never love to see a guy get injured or have to play through one. I personally always want to play another team at their full strength.

Regardless, looking forward to the potential matchup and hoping he doesn’t make the injury worse.

Health man, so important. Can’t believe even with a sweep Embiid still got injured, that sucks.

I wanted to see someone else recreate Marcus Morris’s 3-0 taunt to Embiid this year

We are really getting the easiest path. It sucks to see but I’ll take it.

Celtics will never get a better chance than this. Hope they can take advantage.

    -Embiid knee injury
-Not having to face Giannis at all for once
-Bucks lose means we get home court advantage the rest of the playoffs
-Heat are without Herro and will have a much tougher route than last year
-Additions of Brogdon and White finally hitting his stride are invaluable to last year

  5. Honestly disappointed, i have little doubt we are the superior team and I would like to spank them at full strenght.

Is there a risk to hurt other players when they bump into that brace?

  7. The way the playoffs are going, I feel like a VIP being ushered through the crowd, with someone saying “right this way sir, here is your seat at the NBA finals.” First we get an ideal first round matchup, Giannis gets hurt leaving the Bucks in a deficit, and now Embiid is hurt

Low key more scared of the sixers without Embiid only because we always play down to our comp

The source – Doc Nick Rivieras. His speciality – bullshit.

at least there is an excuse for Al Hordford son.

That stinks. Obviously, you don’t want anyone to get hurt, and you certainly want the Celtics to play Philly at full strength. This is a shame.

Sucks to see it happen to Embiid. Dude just can’t stay healthy. Between this and the Bucks possibly being knocked out of the playoffs.. we could have home court for the remainder of the playoffs. I’m not saying that the path to the finals will be easy, but it’s not going to be what everyone thought when the playoffs started. Hopefully the C’s can capitalize on this while playing smart and consistent.
