The non-ball movement is a huge indicator this team did not have any solidarity. You notice the good teams who constantly move around the ball are more effective and a cohesive unit, which translates to higher percentage of winning. You can't rely on Pascal to just break down the defense and then kick it out to shooters who can't even shoot; and you can't rely on a nonathletic, short point guard who only sets up plays that benefit himself and not the team. If you got the "leader" of the team who constantly does not take ownership and just constantly deflects any blame, the entire team will do the same too. There is no 'leading by example' with this team.
Raps need to find a way to trade for Damian Lillard. He clearly doesn't want to rebuild with Portland, which is what the franchise is doing, so he's ready to leave. Masai needs to find a way to get him. He'd be the perfect running mate for Siakam.
I agree with everything you pointed out Chev if you look at the team last year and this year it's like night and day our ego got in our way

How quick things change. I always thought there was a possibility that nick nurse would be like Kerr and pop. With the raptors for a long time. I think they should have gotten rid of fred first and seen the difference. But when I heard he was fired, I was actually relieved. Things just spiraled so fast. And part I believe nick nurse didn't want to be here at all. That just sucks.

The Raptors lost the vibe when they traded away Kyle, prove me wrong.
I dont fully blame Nurse but hes right “ good luck” the players aren’t good enough and the rest of the organization knows this its time to evaluate the roster. Nurse went from having Kawhi, Lowry, Ibaka, Gasol and Powell helping lead this team, Now he was left with Pascal and Fred as your leaders and that is not saying much.
Nurse KILLED the culture and BENCH MOB that Dwayne Casey built. Nurse was/IS an ego-maniac behind the scenes—from what the stories since his firing are saying. Nurse fostered an incredibly toxic work environment; ghosting players in private; sending assistant coaches home without advising the front office; putting up a wall between assistant coaches and players; disregarding Masai & Bobby's regarding Playing Time VS. Player Development Concerns.

I don't follow this team, but I can tell you one thing. Nick Nurse wasn't gonna get any team to the Finals without a star player. Once Leonard left their championship aspirations left with him
Masai is addressing each points of concern, one by one. First necessary move was NN! His suspicious calls or lack of, weird body language, public calling out of players, not adapting to change, stubbornness in favouring certain players vs developing the bench as his mandate was, etc. Looking forward to upcoming changes💯

I think moving on from Fred and Gary is a good start for getting a huge change in culture and allows are new coach freedom to not worry about two guys putting up 22 plus threes every game instead of looking to keep the ball moving and creating space and that’s two huge egos gone he won’t have to challenge
