“We won the game”
*<Chef’s kiss>*
Knicks are up 3-1 and some parts of media are only fixated on Randle not talking to them lol.
Good response. Winning cures everything.
Lol good I thought it was Randle’s decision

The pics from the article are great.
This is a master class by Thibs. Randle is gonna be the hungriest guy on the court tomorrow. Poor Mobley.
Sounds like he is OK with the benching, but wants to rip somebody’s head off tomorrow to show he has still got it.
I like that.
I feel like he is saying the right things to the media but deep down, he is fuming. Hopefully, that means we get a Jimmy Butler type night from him tomorrow.
Think they both know it’s for preservation reasons, but if this lights a fire under him and he drops 30 on a bum ankle against a DPOY candidate; that would definitely be something.
Thibs has benched all three of the team’s leading scorers in RJ, Brunson, Randle in the 4th in important games, and it’s usually been the right call and paid off. Speaks to the team’s depth and versatility.
That’s it. That’s all that matters
This is how you know it’s different this time man. Thibs putting in Obi at the end of the game and trusting him is huge. Dude’s had to adjust to a team around built for Randles style of play and he’s slowly figuring out how to play without the ball. We absolutely need a guy like him to develop dribbling, a jumpshot, defense, and rebounding tenacity, he has slowly improved in all of those ways. If Obi can play the 3 or the 4 and he’s consistent and we add another dynamic to a team that is very very dynamic on offense, that would be huge. We literally have an automatic play with Hartenstein and McBride when he cuts and that’s like our 7th and 14th guy. That’s called DEEP
I feel so much better about this team knowing Thibs has the stones to bench Randle and Randle has the character to accept it. Probably my biggest gripe about the two of them has to do with this very issue. We have too many guys who can step up on any given night for Randle to be the de facto closer even when he’s having an off night. I hope Randle can bounce back, but if not I hope Thibs keeps making the right calls
Those pics say a lot. I was ready to come and kill this dude cuz I felt like he could have said this after the game but seeing him laughing and smiling makes my heart warm
As sensitive as Julius is, he’ll either respond with an amazing game or he’ll be god awful. At least Thibs won’t hesitate to bench him if it’s the latter.
& this is why players don’t want to speak to the media
