Why was Brogdon taken out of the game with 7:22 left, never to be seen again as we gagged our lead?

Because Joe is not a competent nba head coach

  2. chickspeak

Because you have to play Marcus “Heart and Soul™” Smart in the clutch time.

  3. Medium_Egg1968

Smart has some kind of blackmail on Mazzulla.

  4. HS941317

Because Marcus smart is Gary Payton in the eyes of Joe Mazzulla

Smart has been ass most of this season, a clear drop off from last season’s defense. He should not playing in the clutch when he’s an awful shooter over one of the most efficient shooters in the league

6MOTY benched as Smart stunk it up. Joe is a fucking fraud. Fuck him.

  6. Mr_Driver_1992

Because this entire organization prioritizes keeping Smart happy as much as they do winning.

On any other team, he’d be a Pat Bev. Agitator, joke, gets no playoff time.

Instead, he gets treated like a star. He has no business starting still.

If we lose Brogdon to keep Smart, we should blow up the team

I said years ago the Celtic’s loyalty to him will cost them rings.

Nepotism. Smarts name and reputation put him in clutch time whether he deserves it or not (he doesnt). I feel like white and brogdon are too nice to fight for those min plus they are new to the team

  8. wuzamonkey

Because the Celtics have a Marcus Smart problem.

  9. eatinsomepoundcake

I don’t believe in Joe at all anymore

I’m curious to see when/if Joe is going to make a wild change. For such an eclectic guy he’s kind of a bland coach. T Lue is playing 5 guard lineups, Thibs is benching Randle down the stretch, and Joe is sticking to a predetermined plan.

I personally hope we see a Smart/White/Brogdon/Brown/Tatum lineup and switch everything against Trae and run them off the floor on offense.

Because Joe is stubborn for the sake of being stubborn, despite how illogical it is

  12. Adorableviolet

He inspires so much confidence. He should be in there at the end with Derrick.

  13. migsaawesome

Whats the point of even signing Brogdon smh

  14. astorylikethat

Surely Brad must be asking him that question after the game?
I feel Joe needs a mentor, or an experienced Assistant Coach

  15. GooseMay0

Because Joe has too much of a bias for Smart. They win this game if Smart was never subbed back in, even with Tatum’s shit show performance as well.

  16. SmuglySly

Can we just get rid of Mazzula now and hire Nick Nurse

  17. hypercafspazz

Joe needs help for sure. He needs someone on the bench to talk some sense into him in these situations.

It’s always weird to me that the Celtics don’t close with Brogdon-White-Brown-Tatum-Williams. Seems like a fool proof lineup to close out games.
