I wonder how things would have gone had Balmer and his cronies gone as hard after BOTH of them instead of just after Kawhi?

Kobe was 23 but Mckechnie helped Kobe and Shaq 3 peat

it’s crazy how he went through an entire season without an injury during that season.

Kawhi’s condition is degenerative so likely would still be suffering the same injuries if he had stayed with Raptors and their medical staff. All these other injuries are interconnected.

Thought you would’ve posted a pic of Sam McDadi and Juancho Hernangomez but I stand corrected.

Remember when Shaq thanked him for saving his career; Kawhi left a good one.

This duo popularized Load Management. McKechnie understood that it doesn’t just mean rest.
Stress is an important part of load management, and can be good for the body in appropriate amounts. Finding the goldilocks zone of the right amount of stress isn’t simple. When you try to exert yourself more than your body is prepared for injuries are more likely.
That’s why it’s called Load MANAGEMENT and not just Rest.

Makes you think. Could any other team actually load manage him properly? Did we really catch lightning in a bottle by picking up a past his prime hobbled superstar for dirt cheap and just happened to have him work alongside the dude that extended/saved Shaq’s career?

I hope Kawhi feels like he’d still be healthy if he stay.

Alex has been one of the most valuable people in the organization since he got here. One of the most underrated legends in franchise history. I had a chance to meet him once at his facility in Burnaby and he was an absolute gentleman as well.
