Doesn’t have “it”
sports create micro expressions of the social ills that plague us as a society on a macro level.
So then drive the lane…he can get there anytime he wants
This team ain’t clutch for the most part. Simple.
For every game Smart wins, he sells another 1 or 2;
JB turns from a serviceable playmaker into a poor decision maker
& Tatum can’t buy a bucket late largely due to shot selection
I’d be curious what this stat is when Celtics are leading by 1-5
Kinda shocking but he’s still up there for best clutch shooting I feel like overall
But but but the stats said Tatum was CLUTCH
As others have said he needs a go-to move. A shot that while technically is less valuable, is more reliable because a Tatum pull up has been one of the least efficient shots in the NBA this year.
The only 1 he made was that gw against philly if I had to guess
We got a lot stat experts on this sub today lmao
Op now do Smart please
and most of them are just not good shots, that’s why the percentage is so bad. he takes awful threes. when he gets threes in rhythm when we run good offense he’s money.
That’s our MVP!
That’s……kinda horrible
yikes
The quality of those 3’s are often hero shots too compared to in rhythm 3’s off of an open drive with ball movement or a good screen or a pick and pop play.
I know we live in the 3 ball era, but I see Tatum take way too many step back 3’s with a defender right infront of him in crunch time.
So many times I feel like he could just blow by his defender and have way more options for an easier shot for himself or others on the perimeter after he drives.
The only thing that’s surprising to me is that he’s only taken 24 threes in those situations, seems like there would be more.
But…but…but… I thought he was 50% in clutch time scoring
Kinda makes me miss the IT days, those were so wild
Not good
He’s not a superstar
This is interesting cause it goes against other posts I’ve seen that suggest the opposite. I wonder what the difference is, perhaps the definition of clutch?

anti clutch if I have ever seen it
This isn’t 100% relevant to this topic, but it seems like each year, Tatum actually becomes a worse 3pt shooter than the year before. I remember him lighting it up his first couple of years in the league. Now I’d pretty much have anybody else on the floor (other than Rob) shoot a 3 instead of him.
I’m sure it just has to do with volume and taking tough shots, but man, he used to be so money on those open side step 3s.
Thank you for this stat. The Tatum fangirls will hopefully finally relent and acknowledge that Jayson is not the superstar that everyone wants him to be.
Wow…. Luka, Butler and Curry are all good-for-nothing losers as well. And Evan Fournier is a clutch hero!
😔
