Russell, did you guys lose this game or did the Jazz win this one?
Surely he fixes this going forward
Empty words lol they’re cooked
I don’t even care what these guys say anymore just go out and prove it tonight
They played not to lose the 4th quarter of game 7 vs Cleveland all the way back in 2018.
They played not to lose game 6 vs Toronto in the bubble.
They played not to lose most of the games vs Miami in the bubble.
They played not to lose in the final minutes of game 5 vs the Bucks last year.
They played not to lose in all of game 6 vs the Heat last year.
They played not to lose in the 4th quarter of game 4 vs the Warriors last year.
We’ve been listening to these guys all say the right things and then not actually change anything in crunch time since the bubble. If they come out and crush the Hawks tonight, I’ll be convinced they know how to fix it, but not a second before that final buzzer sounds.
It’s time to shut up and go get a championship. The path couldn’t be more clear
“We played not to win.” Fixed it for you, Marcus.
They played not to lose poorly. Because in the end they lost.
I’d wager it’s still statistically sound to play “not to lose”, when you have a lead down the stretch. Even if you get a miss from a heavily contested shot after running the clock down, that’s still better than straight up turning it over. The 3 turnovers in 90 seconds from Tatum and Smart iced it for them.
Go out and win then
“Why are you fouling there?”
Tbh I think they get caught doing that a lot, mainly on offense. “Prevent offense”, in a way, where they kind of just hand to Tatum/Smart and even JB and have them dribble out some clock before trying to make a play last second.
Its so much more fun to play to win.
I’m ready for this game. I think our offense is going to look much crisper throughout. Defense I’m not sure, but I think that side will be more based on just are the Hawks making shots
If you’re up 13 with 2 minutes left, then yeah, kill clock on each possession. The problem arises when they start doing it with 6 minutes left and the same lead
That worked well. Let’s try something different tonight.
We played like assholes it’s that simple we need to play better if we have any plans on winning it all
