Any Knicks-Heat old timers here?

Just wondering if there are any old heads here who remember how much bad blood there actually was between the two teams.

Yes – remember it well. Posted earlier about the Villanova PG Brunson/Lowry match-up. Brunson is the superior player, but Lowry will be used to pound on him.

This is what Chris Childs did to Tim Hardaway 25 years ago. It worked for the Knicks then as they won the last 3 series, and this was a big reason why. IQ – and maybe Deuce – need to be ready.

    Old timers…lol

If you were like 14 or 15 watching those games with your Dad, you’re barely 40 yrs old now…

  3. Oh, I remember like it yesterday. It was nineteen dickety seven and Pat Riley was talking shit about Charlie Ward to the press

I remember the fight with Van Gundy riding Alonzo’s leg. So many Knicks got thrown out for wandering a foot or two onto the court, and we lost the next game and the series we should’ve won. Fuck The Heat.

    Pepperidge Farm remembers.

    So do I.

I’m in my 50s and I remember all those series. There some great rivalries in the 90s with the Bulls, Pacer, and Heat (of course)

There were some really intense regular season games as well.

February 1998: LJ and Mourning get into a shoving match at MSG after a flagrant foul

April 1998: Houston tip in at the buzzer is waved off due to a discrepancy between the game and shot clocks

April 1999: Knicks come back from 20+ to best Miami on the road during the late push for the 8 seed

April 2000: Hardaway’s wild one handed buzzer beater to seal the Atlantic division title
