In an alternate universe, the Hawks are still throwing the ball at Celtics players

  2. MediocreTake

Marcus Smart says he wish he would’ve gotten a chance to guard San Antonio Dejounte Murray. “It would’ve been a harder task.”

  3. Atlanta couldn’t inbound the ball for their life at the end lmao.

  4. godly_mercs

It was a good fight from the Hawks

Sixers-Celtics is going to be a fun series

  5. CCJones56

Trae Young giveth and Trae Young taketh away. When he is great, he is amazing but when he is bad, he is amazingly bad.

  6. Kyler1313

Wasn’t the prettiest series for the Celtics, but hey it could always be worse. They could’ve been the Bucks…

  7. MKenshiX

Celtics won the series, but Trae won those in-bounds off Smart lmao

  8. Ritchie_Blackmore

Boston adjusted the difficulty from Hall of Fame to Rookie in the last 3 minute. They were greening every shot and blocking every layup lol

  9. fuckareyousaying

Three failed inbounds and ends with a turnover 💀

  10. invinciblegoose_

Please at least get Horford his ring jesus christ

  11. I just heard “Fuck Trae Young” chants break out all over New York City

  12. madamsquirrel7

I just saw the Hawks fail 4 straight inbounds passes.

  13. DiseaseRidden

WE GOT CHRISTIAN GONZALEZ AT 17 *AND* WE’RE GONNA WIN THE CHIP

  14. dukemetoo

I was really hoping the game would end by throwing it into Smart. 0.2 seconds off the clock every time.

  15. FultzShoulder

Trae Young 1/12 in the 2nd half. Oh well, he’s the reason this even went to 6, and he got Embiid an extra 2 days rest. Celtics-76ers it is.

  16. LugiaThunder

I’m just proud of my team for giving them a hell of a fight

  17. scarf229slash64

I get why people hate him, but Trae is still an incredible offensive player, and this Hawks team has a lot of talent and interesting pieces. It’ll be very interesting to see where this team can go in the future with a tactician like Quinn Snyder at the helm. His improvement on McMillan is already very noticeable and the future is far brighter in Atlanta than it looked midway through this year

  18. SquimJim

Props to the Hawks for making this a fucking series

Holy hell I didn’t expect this much stress

  19. Brady331

Pro tip: Only check r/nba in the playoffs after your team wins

  20. oldkidgrumble

Bill Simmons and Celtics fans frantically deleting their anti Marcus Smart tweets

  21. HypoTomasis

I admit. Trae Young proved me wrong. Last 3 games he’s been brilliant. My heart rate was sky high tonight. I was almost puking. Shit man. good fight Hawks.

  22. elcapitandemundo

GG Atlanta what a game. ngl I used to be such a Trae hater but I’ve gained so much respect for him and the rest of that squad, they could’ve rolled over after the first 2 but they made it an absolute war. excited to see how the Hawks look after Snyder gets a full off-season to install his system

  23. slysonic7

Really thought we were due for game 7 with 3 min to go. What a closeout by the celtics

  24. CCJones56

Remember when the EXPERTS said the EC first round wasn’t worth watching? Fkn idiots.

  25. dangheckinpupperino

Idc that Trae went cold. We fought tooth and nail against a great team. Missed some good looks and Boston nailed it in the clutch.

  26. JoJonesy

Can’t blow a double-digit lead if you never have one in the first place 🤔

(But fr, thank fuck this series is over. Onto Philly)

  27. Hawks made them work. Trae showed up in the playoffs, DJM killed us. Great series for a team everyone said would be swept.

  28. Atl-Fan_FTS

Well, we fought. All I could ask for. GG Celtics glad my Hawks at least made it fun and a competitive series. Just simply not there yet. Glad we could beat a lot of negative connotations and narratives.

  29. ShaedonSharpe4Life

Way more fun series than I thought it would be, great sportsmanship in this series too

  30. weee5674

    Jesus fuck.

GG Atlanta. Completely underestimated you all and you made us earn it and then some.

Keep Quin Snyder around (although I’d personally prefer that you didn’t lol) and we’ll probably be running this back in the near future.

    Now onto Philly

  31. Jestfulbadger888

That was a great series. respect to the hawks

  32. shoebox_full_of_bees

I was mf SWEATING this game because I had -100 confidence if we had game 7 in Boston

  33. neostalgiac

Atlanta played a helluva series. Celtics stars killed it tonight and didn’t choke. Philly series will be so much fun

  34. DwarfNips

Trae Young and John Collins really put up a better fight than KD and Kyrie

Respect to the Hawks, proved they weren’t just some free by like this sub was saying those first 2 games

  35. lemmoning

I don’t care what people, I’m happy we kept it competitive. Looking forward to Quin Synder putting his system in place next season.

  36. PrinceKarmaa

trae really ran out of gas after carrying for 3 1/2 games . he couldn’t hit anything in the 2nd half

  37. Damn. Solid series, we went farther than everyone expected. We lasted the longest compared to others in the eastern conference against the championship favorites and the 2nd best team last year. Trae beat the fraud allegations. Dejounte showed out in his first playoff experience.

Not mad at all about how this series or game went down. We fought hard, just don’t have the talent to keep up with Boston.

    Onto Cancun!

  38. not-a-potato-head

Am I disappointed in how that stretch in the 4th went? Definitely. Did I think that we had a serious chance to take this to 7 and win it in Boston before that? Yeah. But if you told me that before this seres we would win two games, with Trae excising his demons from the Miami series I wouldn’t have believed you. Proud of the effort this team put in, coming back after being down late in game 5, playing good defense in key stretches, and fighting to the last whistle. Looking forward to what this team looks like with a full offseason of Quin+the new FO to flesh out the roster

  39. Can we all agree to hold off on the Trae slander just for the night. The hawks were just eliminated and the falcons drafted Bijan Robinson at 8. Were down pretty bad right now.

  40. Alt-non-alt-account7

Tatum “chips in” 30/14/7 like that’s not a very strong stat line alone lol. I love it. I gained a lot of respect for the hawks and specifically Trae Young. Even if he almost ruined the Celtics, him living rent free in MSG will always crack me up.

  41. FutureRaifort

Well the Hawks put up a very solid fight, which was the best they could hope for. Whole year of Quin should be interesting. Celtics not looking like world beaters but still the favorites in the East likely, just gotta tighten up. Hope Joel is good to go.
