Yup. Giannis got flack for his statement because he didn’t word it as eloquently as Kobe did but the sentiment is still the same.

“But Michael and Kobe would absolutely say they failed”. Dumbasses. Good post.

The way I see it is, winning the championship was far from a guarantee this season. If they lost in the ECF to the Celtics, or in the finals to Phoenix, isn’t the ultimate end the same? Only one team is winning the Chip and everyone else is losing it just as much as the next team
Was this a humiliating loss for the team? Absolutely. But thousand foot view, when you reduce everything to championship or not, this season is no different than any of the dozens of seasons the Bucks didn’t win. If we come back next season and make a strong playoff push, nobody is gonna care about this season. You think Dirk is remembered more for 2007 or 2011? It’s all about how they respond to this next year
If this is the beginning of the end for Giannis in Milwaukee, well maybe that changes things. But I feel like this is gonna be a catalyst like 2020 was more than the end of something

Really wish all the people in the comments on that Giannis press conference would see this

Nick Wright would applaud that but yet shits on Giannis.

When Giannis was getting clowned for his comments I was honestly extremely confused because the Kobe quote is essentially the same thing? Obviously no one hears the audio they just hear “there’s no such thing as failure” and take it as him being soft.

Failure doesn’t exist, success doesn’t exist, there is only sex
