I think Raptors being the first team to hire a female coach is gonna make all the Udoka stans angry, but itâs very fitting if you ask me. If sheâs good for the culture Masai wants, then give her a shot. Otherwise Iâm still on the Stack Pack and have been quietly swayed into the Mutumbo camp (both for a Scottie-centric rebuild).

She was a protege of one of the best coaches of all time. If she was a dude, everyone would be clambering to hire her. I donât see the problem.
Udoka spent 7 years under Pop, Becky spent 8 years. What does Udoka know as a coach that Becky wouldnât? If you ask me, Raps fo might place Becky higher than a lot of the options right now.
Us immediately seeing Hammon on the list and getting ready to bask in the shine of having the first female HC just shows how much hopium we are on. What will happen will happen. Like take a break from this team for a month, you deserve it đ
I have zero issue with her being hired provided she is the best candidate available. If this is just being done to do it, I’m not about that. Lets be real, Udoka would have been talked about on Parliament hill and it would have been a distraction, no chance he was getting hired and I wouldn’t be surprised if he was told they were interested in her before he signed with the Rockets, hence the woke chirp. He clapped at Masai because he wasn’t the choice.
If they offer her the job she no doubt takes it. First woman head coach, extreme payday. Itâs practically life changing and making history and an opportunity you probably wonât get again

Iâll admit I donât watch womenâs basketball because I donât find it entertaining. But from what Iâve heard they play a more fundamentally sound style, and Becky Hammon would be no different style wise. That couple with the Spurs brand of basketball and you have a recipe for success.
The only thing in my mind would be getting guys to buy in. Being an assistant is much different than being the head coach. Guys will view her differently and as sad as it is, there will be those wishing for her to fail.
But for my money I want the best Xâs and Oâs person, I want the best leader, and I want someone who does well under pressure. I donât care if youâre a man, a woman, a tree, blue, green, or purple. As long as you get the job done youâre my pick.
