[Clark] I’m told Joel Embiid’s status for Game 1 in Boston Monday is still not known after meeting with doctors & may not be known until Sunday/Monday It will depend on how his sprained LCL responds and feels the next few days. There is hope he can play early in the series with a brace

So is this gamesmanship or are we fucked

  2. Once again – why would anyone on the 76ers side give away this information?

Whatever reporting comes out regarding this can be taken with a grain of salt – good or bad. In the spirit of competitive advantage, keeping this info as ambiguous as possible is the most logical thing to do.

Oh, so Trae’s shot was not just a luxury, it was absolutely necessary

They always give these vague ass updates. I wish they’d say nothing at all sometimes.

It’s a shame that Paul Reed won’t have a good back up if Embiid can’t go, guess he’s playing 48 minutes. He has this.

Kidding aside an undermanned doc team is no joke.

  5. Sixers players have today off. So there should be at least one more practice tomorrow or Sunday. If Embiid isn’t somewhat active at one of those, then I would get a bit worried.

Pretty sure they said the same thing with both his orbital fracture and the meniscus tear two years ago, lol

This is gamesmanship they have zero incentive to outright confirm if he’s playing game 1 or not.

More of the same. Just a weird gamesmanship strategy
