Mavs should sign Yabusele from real 6.8 260lb … he means bussiness and noone will disrespect him….
Mavs need to trade Bullock(11M), THJ (17M), Powell for a rebounding big that can also defend the paint. Don't think Mavs can sign C-Wood at 30M. Best way to trade him too. Siakam or Turner going around 35M and salary dumping for those teams. Even Vucevic available at 20M.
Unfortunately, the Mavs are in purgatory. Maybe they can turn it around but itâs going to require some luck. Iâm a Dubs guy who loves the show. In 2012 Jerry West was the assistant GM for the Dubs. He stood on the table the year before to draft Klay Thompson. That offseason the Warriors were in negotiations with the T-wolves to trade Klay for Kevin Love. Jerry West threatened to quit if they pulled the trigger on that trade. His insistence stopped the trade. That year they drafted Harrison Barnes and Draymond Green. The next year they signed Iguodala. The rest is history. Sometimes in the arc of a championship build, there is a defining management moment that cements the core and creates the conditions for something special to grow. The Mavericks had that opportunity when they could have signed Brunson for a value contract at an incredibly low price. That contract would have allowed them to get another max contract while retaining two Max level players. They blew it. They didnât have the people in the building to know what they had. Most organizations donât recover from those kinds of mistake. The Mavs have Luka but thatâs not nearly enough. Going to need a miracle now because they also donât have other factors that will draw talent. They need a couple hugely successful drafts and they need a patient Luka, otherwise theyâll miss the window. It may already be too late if Luka isnât happy. Iâve worked in the league for years. Trust me. I know how these things go. If you love your team Mavs fans, pray for a Draymond Green in the second round and a Harrison Barnes in the first. You need that kind of lightning strike now or Luka will be on the block in a year or two. Good luck.
