Hey everyone,
I’m a Heat fan but I had to watch Game 5 from the local Milwaukee broadcast. At the end of Game 5, I could have sworn I saw Jimmy and Jrue talking and hugging it out. [The Athletic](https://theathletic.com/4456975/2023/04/27/bucks-heat-jimmy-butler-game-5/) even used a picture of it as a thumbnail for one of their stories. Does anyone have a clip of that interaction? I don’t think NBA TV or the heat broadcast caught it. thank you!

No clip, but just want to comment I saw this too and appreciate how much respect they have for each other.
Jimmy rightfully talked tons of shit, but never crossed the line of disrespectful.
It’s a shame that Jimmy’s performance happened against us. As a basketball fan, it was truly a magical performance and I unfortunately won’t ever get to appreciate it to its full extent it probably deserves.
Jimmy has every right to talk shit. Shit talking is a part of sports. It never crossed the line of making more personal than just two competitors going at it.
I watched this live. Jrue walked up to Jimmy to congratulate him, and they both hugged. Jimmy seemed to say something to Jrue animatedly, which I interpreted as giving him kudos for defending him. I actually like Jimmy A LOT not only as a player but also because he overcame childhood adversity, and I can see why he seems to do so well in “do or die” situations like the playoffs, as opposed to the regular season.
Both are great competitors and what happens on the court, stays on the court. Really nice seeing two great players switching off the killer mindset when the game ends and continue being respectful.
Love this. It’s what sports should be all about. Go hard. Get competitive as fuck. Talk shit. But when the clock hits zero, respect.
They don’t actually hate each others guts
