Just a reminder to the Sixers fans out there that forget the last decade & regular season. Lots of trash talking from their fans who forget Celtics have their number.

The past doesn’t matter. The Celtics need to focus on playing 48 minutes and hustling on defense.

I don’t wanna over look them regardless of the past. Gotta always respect your opponent. Clearly when we play down a level we get ourselves in trouble

They absolutely need to take 1 of the first two games. Because unlike the Warriors or most teams, they simply do not have the mental toughness to go 0-2 and face their own fans.
Say what you want about the Hawks, but they were never mental midgets.

Some of our fans gonna look real silly if they take us to 7…..
I am one of those fans, Celtics in 5

Saw one guy that supposedly worked in Boston say we’re “salty AF” (why we’d be salty I have no idea) and that we’re “praying we can beat them” 😅

Past don’t matter. If we don’t take sixers seriously they will punish it like the hawks

Each season’s team are different. The past doesn’t mean much as this is going to be about matchups. Sixers of the past haven’t had Harden, Maxey cooking, stronger bench and an Embiid playing at an MVP level. Sure we could win, but it certainly won’t be the easy cakewalk that most people who tout the past tell you it will. I for one respect this opponent.

Last decade? The Sixers haven’t won a title in 40 years, but it’s been even longer than that since they beat the Celtics in a playoff series. The last time was the 1982 ECF, the “Beat L.A.!” game. No teams in NBA history have met more times in the playoffs. The Cs are 14-7 and 3 of those 7 wins belong to the Syracuse Nationals in the pre-Bill Russell era.

It’s time to cement it. Let’s beat Philly so bad Embiid (and Harden) leave. Just like in 2010 when we sent Lebron home.
Of course hopefully that doesn’t lead to a new version of the Heatles, but I care more about getting a title.

Now it’s the moment to forget about it until we get four more wins over them.

Already starting with the arrogance and toxicity

Basically it’ll come down to wether or not Embiid can go 40+ pts 5+ Ast 4 games. All the while keeping Tatum (and no JB) under 20 a piece.

It’ll be a fun series, for sure.
