That’s so fucking awful. Poor guy. As shitty as Wednesday night was as a fan, that really puts things in perspective.

Man that’s tough. I think watching that series and the poor game management it felt like his head wasn’t in it and I just couldn’t figure out why. I suppose that might be something.

His brother passed away before game 4 reportedly. He still came out and tried to coach instead of taking time for himself to grieve. I know I wouldn’t be able to function if that was me. Praying for his family.

Hope Bud and his family is doing good

I know lots of hate has been sent his way but I still appreciate and respect him and everything he’s done. We would’ve never have been as good as we are without him

Hopefully this will make people stop being such assholes about Bud. You can still want him fired, but let’s at least be civil.

  6. He looked so out of himself during the post game interview after game 5. This was the reason.. damn.. hang in there Bud🙏🏻

  7. AaltoSax

Fuck man, that explains a lot. I’d be exactly the same way.

Really changes some of my perspective on Monday and Wednesday

But still think Bud should move to the FO and let Charles Lee takeover

Wow that puts a lot into perspective, i can’t even begin to understand how he might feel right now, im going to cool off on the Bud hate. Dude lost his brother still went out to coach, and now he must feel even worse with losing and the blame falling on him. Losing family is an enormous strike to one’s mental focus, thats a far bigger distraction that anything else. Nothing but love and condolences for Bud in these trying times.

Dude omg. Prayers to Bud and his fam

Man. Sending good energy to his family. Hope he’s able to properly grieve. ❤️

  12. Fuck, i knew if we are trolling him so bad, something is gonna happen that is gonna make us feel bad about it and here it is. I have a younger brother and he is the closest to me, can’t even comprehend what he was going through. Respect and RIP

Wow. So sorry for Bud right now.

On the other hand, why is the head coach of the Lakers leaking his business to the press? I can’t be the only one who has an issue with that, right? I truly understand the intention behind it, but that still should’ve been kept private and left for Bud and/or the team to disclose.

Might get downvoted, but that doesn’t really excuse his decisions because it’s the same issues he’s had in the past. He does not adjust in the playoffs. He’s always been terrible with his T/O usage. This is a guy using his friend’s brother’s death as a reason to stick up for his decision making, because otherwise, there is no excuse. It’s time to move on

Life is more important than a basketball game.
