[Drew Hill ] Ja Morant reflects on his season: “Like I said before, my (takeaways) are off the court and on the court. Just, being disciplined. Off the court, it’s about making better decisions. On the court, it’s about being locked in even more.

Pretty much exactly what you want to hear.

Honestly if he says this and means it, thats a big step in the right direction.

Tonight was a huge humiliation for the team, but if its a wake up call for these young guys with a bright future so be it.

Hope Ja and the rest of the team take the time to learn from this and come back stronger

He needs to make better decisions on the court too. A lot of dumb offensive fouls jumping into defenders this series, and hurting your hand no less

Lebron ain’t doing Shit beyond this

  5. As terrible as that loss was, it seems like our guys learned some lessons for going forward. About all you can expect when it became glaringly obvious we couldn’t overcome the extent of our injuries

Ja will be fine. His fuck up will end up being the best thing that ever happened to him with regard to building character and poise. Looking forward to the 23/24 season.

I’m not upset with how this season ended given the circumstances. This team peaked pre-ASB on the 11 streak, and we are probably still feeling expectations based on that run.

Injuries are the reason we lost the first round, but realistically we were losing in the 2nd round to either the kings or the warriors anyways.

Roster construction was a major failure with Z and Brooks being the primary forces that turned moving from melt and slowmo into a major leap backwards.

Z is quite obviously not an NBA player and needs to be waived. Brooks needs to be either S&T or just let him walk. Not looking forward to playing against him because I just know he’s going to fucking go off, but he will be a bum the remaining 80/79/78 games of the year.

We need a capable wing who can defend some and at least score 10 a game on 40% FG, and a real sized up big off the bench. We have to assume Clarke is done as a player and is worthless to us next year. I love BC but the injury changes the calculus. If you can move from him and give up draft / prospect assets to a tanking team in return for a useable player, that is good in my book.

Regular season Tyus is a mirage and we cannot count on him in the post season. He is on the block in my opinion and he has value as a starter.

Lastly we cannot rely on John Konchar for meaningful playoff minutes. He’s a borderline NBA caliber player who can get you rest during the season but he needs to be a 12th man on the roster.

Aldama and Roddy are the only bright spots. Jaren needs to develop better post positioning and moves to the basket. Ja needs better mid range and passing, I don’t see him becoming a 3pt sniper but if he can get to 35% it changes the game.

Bane is the only grizz this season that gets 5 stars in my book. Grew his game, his defense, his offense. Now we just need another leap next year.

Proud of my guys. Onward and upward. Best wishes to the Lakers, they’re gonna need a miracle to stay healthy and make it past next round (ps, they won’t)
