[Dumas] Joel Embiid is experiencing a lot of pain in that right knee. His LCL sprain is typically a 4-6 week recovery. I’m told it would be a pleasant surprise if he were able to play in either of the first two games in Boston.

I don’t know how to feel about this, but I do wish Joel a speedy recovery. Sucks to see injury happening to anyone.
We need to not fuck around like in Game 5 vs the Hawks.

You never wish people are injured but with some players you’re not surprised they are.

So theoretically the earliest he would be healthy assuming 4 weeks from game 4 is the 13th. Which is a day before game 7 is scheduled. So he either misses the first 6 games or is a non-factor due to recovery right?

I want the Celtics to play like Embiid’s leg and health are 200% regardless of who’s out there in game 1.
Pretend Paul Reed is Embiid’s clone and bring it regardless of who’s out there.
No messing around and no taking anyone lightly regardless of what they did or didn’t do in the regular season.
I dont wanna see a star player miss time cause that sucks all around but I also don’t like this for the Celtics because whenever it’s supposed to be “easier” for them they don’t show up. They’d be more locked in if embid were healthy
