Weird but interesting stat that may or may not correlate with playoff success: Giannis’ usage rate

Giannis had a historically high usage rate this season, with 38.4% being the 4th highest in NBA history (behind 16-17 Westbrook, 18-19 Harden, and 05-06 Kobe)

The second highest usage rate of his career was the 2019-20 season at 37.3%.

Both of those seasons ended with early playoff exits to the Heat.

His usage rate is not normally THAT high. In his first MVP year it was 32%. In 2020-21 it was 32.2%. Even last year it was at 34.6%. And all three of those years ended with the Bucks going farther than they did in the two years where his usage rate was above 35%.

I know the usage rate was higher this year because of Khris being out, but I feel like there is some sort of relationship here, even if it is very small.
