[Shams] Sources: The knee injury 76ers star Joel Embiid suffered April 20 is considered to be more serious than a Grade 1 LCL sprain. He is currently doubtful for Game 1 vs. Boston.

Damn dude, you’re quick. Didn’t even take half a minute to get a quick cry in.

  2. wProNoobw

Yep, its over. We will need to beat celtics without embiid.

  3. mugawatts

So dumas did in fact have sources, another year same story sadly

  4. pagonator

His body just can’t hold up in the playoffs

Honestly I’m not that worried. MAYBE I’ve just been talking myself into not being worried, but I don’t think it’s too big of a deal if he misses the first two games. If there’s one thing Doc is good for, it’s winning games with shitty lineups. I feel like we have a chance to take 1 of those first 2 and get Embiid rested up, gotta deal with the cards we’re played

tie me to a missile and fire at Boston, i am ready

  7. That’s an actual 4-6 weeks, might be the season for him

  8. SlavaRapTarantino

Kyle Nuebeck didn’t hear anything about this and he’s far more legitimate and connected than whoever this Shams guy is.

  9. Hopefully he’ll be back in time for the next round against New York.

Well I help games 1 and 2 are fun to watch. Lets see what Reed and Maxey can do

We are finished unless Harden makes a vintage performance and drops 40 every game

It was baffling how many people tried downplaying the injury in the first place. What about Embiid or the Sixers medical staff would have made you felt that way in the first place? I was worried the second Doc said the MRI didn’t look good and that was somehow just swept under the rug.

If that’s it, time to blow the team up

Don’t fucking matter who we got. Sixers in six.

  15. DarkwingMcQuack

Well this is a shitty situation to be in. Why do these things always happen during the second round every year?

  16. cjmaguire17

If true, tough conversations need to be had

pfffff this guy has no sources….. right…………………….riiight?

In all seriousness. This Celtics team is still beat-able.

I work at sfa so I watched this series very very closely.

The Hawks were PICKING the Celtics apart with the PNR.

They were using Trae to attack Horford or Williams on switches, whoever was on the floor.

Deandre was able to use his size against white/brogdon

Collins and bogy were excellent floor spacers.

We really need to emulate that kind of formula with Harden and Maxey attacking the bigs and dishing to Tobi, Niang, Mcdaniels, PJ.

And tobi is gonna need to pick his spots and attack.

Doc gon have to coach his ass off.

And for some reason, I believe in the guys. Let’s see.

Changed my phone wallpaper to a Sixers wallpaper this morning. Before I did it, I thought, “this goes against my typical superstitious nature”. But where has my superstitious nature gotten me thus far? No championships my whole life. So I did it.

    It’s all my fucking fault.

I give up. Idk what to believe. Reports say he’s out 4-6, others say 1-2, doc says doubtful for game 1, shake says he’s playing. I can’t handle anymore of it. Staying off the internet until GameDay. See ya Monday y’all! Try not to go insane following all the news relating to Embiid.

  21. Keanu__Gaming__xD

Despite this, I have faith we can steal a game on the road. Embiid comes back, and we are full power, ready to defeat the Celtics. Y’all, don’t lose faith. Celtics aren’t as good as The Media has been saying, seriously.

These fucking dicks. Kawhi had a knee sprain too and then all of a sudden, whoopsie, it’s actually an mcl tear.
