A few weeks ago David Thorpe brought up the name Ryan Pannone as a coaching candidate he highly recommends for the Raptors. Assistant coach with the Pels, who just moved to an assistant job with Alabama, and played a key role in developing young players like Trey Murphy, Herb Jones and Jose Alvarado. He described him as being “the best under 40 coach in the world”, and the “best player development guy you could find”.
Looking into him, he brings really creative play and set design, seems incredibly intelligent, well connected with European contact, great relationship with the young players he’s coached, and humble.
Really hope the FO gives him a chance to interview!

Interesting, thx. Thorpe has more interesting insights into the raps than a lot of the local writers. I learned about the nurse firing thru Thorpe. Same with scouting Scottie. The local writers seem to parrot social media. Not all but some prominent ones imo.
He got a job at Alabama.
