The Giannis Problem

Are the Bucks and Giannis fundamentally flawed? Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks just lost to the Miami Heat in 5 games. We all thought the Bucks would go further in the NBA Playoffs, but despite already having a ring Giannis may have a problem beyond Coach Bud.

  1. Giannis is so great that in most cases he can overcome his flaws, but as many have said his lack of a back to the basket game (particularly for when he is in foul trouble and when the opposing team has very good interior defense) and his lack of jumper from mid range or further that is even within a standard deviation of average make it so that he doesn’t have truly great shot creating ability come great playoff teams who are scheming specifically with great personnel to stop him. Like I said he almost can always overcome this because of how good he is, but he is in a bit of a 2007-2010 LeBron situation, dude is the best player in the league, but smart coaches can really bother him due to a deficiency in his game, just like pop did to a young LeBron for basically the same reasons.

  2. Coach Bud, brother dead from a car accident right before this series start. He could not be clear headed.

  3. Are people forgetting Miami was missing a key player in Tyler Herro too
And he didn't comeback like Giannis was able to do

  4. What if the got acquired an elite guard, like Dame, and used Giannis a lot more in pick and roll and off ball movement

  5. Honestly, if they could get Kyrie for less than a max and not lose too much depth. That solves most of the problems, and gives them a proven clutch playmaker & shooter. (Just gotta somehow deal with his need to act like the smartest guy in the room, so the conspiracy theories)

  6. That’s karma for injuring Kyrie Irving in the playoffs. He has a fake championship to his name. James Harden had a point when he said that all dude could do is run and dunk and be 7 feet tall.

  7. I said it before we won the chip, and i've been saying ever since, Bud is an overrated coach. And i think if we could get a guard, like my boys Dame or Luka, that could solve a lot of problems

  8. Giannis needs to change his shooting coach. One the one hand you say he is the best player and on the other you present him as aproblem for the team…

  9. That being said, I got news for you Giannis. There IS failure in sports as there IS failure in every aspect of life.

There is no such thing as catastrophic failure, but there is FAILURE.

Either you call it failure or "steps to success", it is still failure to achieve your realistic goals.

Actually there has to be failure in order to achieve success.

What you need to do is NOT pretend that there is no failure.

Instead embrace it, accept it, learn from it, think of what you need to change, then move forward.

    That is the right mindset.

Not accepting failure will lead you nowhere.

Not accepting failure led you here.

Because all these years, inspite of your hard work and great ethics, you tend to think that everything is going great, so just carry on.

    1) You failed to identify, that the Bucks is not the team through which you will be able to play your best basketball, so you re-signed with them.

    2) You failed to identify that coach Bud, is a medriocre coach, without a third but not even a second plan in offense or defense.

    3) You failed to identify that Kriss, Drue, Brook and the rest of the gang, great people though they are, they are at best average players (overestimated of course), unable to help you get anything

    4) You failed to identify that you are only getting older and it's a waste of your talent not to join a team that can get you even higher.

    5) You failed to identify that you need to get a proper coach, and shoot as many free throws as needed in order to reach a decent and stable 75% percentage. Ten years later you still cannot shoot free throws. They are called free for a reason.

    6) You failed to identify that you need to get a proper coach and practice as much as needed to learn how to shoot mid-range and 3pts.

    7) You failed to identify that you need to learn how to play close to the basket with your back.

    8) In general you fail constantly to identify your mistakes this is why you do not change. Yes you got muscles, yes you got more skills. But you are still the same Giannis with the same gameplay that you had 10 years ago only a bit refined. You need to change man. Shaq didn;t play the same way throughout his career. Nor did Jordan, Nor Kobee, nor Lebron. They changed. That's what made them great. They evolved.

And speaking of Jordan, do remember that actually MJ aknowledged (!) his failures.

    That's what made him great!

"I failed so many times (he said), and thats why I became great"

He didn;t say "I stepped so many times". He said I failed.

And they he learned from that and evolved.

Jordan kept flying through the air when he was young.

Then he learned how to shoot mid range jumpers.

Then he how to perfect the fade away, etc

Accept it was a fail man.

And it was a BIG TIME fail.

Learn from it, evolve and it will all work out!

Love you. Love watching you. Love your ethics.

    Get better for next season!

  10. Man Giannnis ISNT the issue at all this is ridiculous nobody said shaq or Dwight or any dominant 5 was the issue . He need a more consistent star Middleton and holiday be choking they ass off. Better coaching and better shooting around him more consistent shooting at least. Stop blaming and telling the 5 to learn how to shoot 3s wtf

  11. Who still thinks Giannis doesnt need to add to his game? SN: Given the context of the regular season & how they got gentlemen swept in rd 1 they failed as a team THIS SEASON plain & simple.

  12. Best player in the world? What?! A player who can’t shoot, can’t handle, can’t post and is a detriment at the free throw line is still the best player in the world? How? Please explain yourself. Beyond flashy power dunks, and blocks from behind after getting blown by, what does Giannis bring to the team?

  13. Idk why bud was coaching, with the tragedy. Idk why holiday couldn't hold onto the damn ball, and not shoot stupid threes.
But Giannis is the reason why the buck's go and the reason why they stop. Idk how but it just seems he gets in his own way in the playoffs, even the 2021 playoffs. Will the bucks lead by Giannis return to the finals? In the end that depends on him. He could leave I guess in 3 years, Idk how many good players will even stay in Milwaukee, but I don't think he'll be back to the finals in this contract. I do hope he wins one more to dispel the asterisk.

  14. Literally everyone had the Bucks making it to the finals and many had Giannis winning the MVP over Embiid and Joker but the second they lose, it's because there's a "problem" instead of the Heat were just better coached.
