If he’s actually hurt, it’s a mistake to play given his size, injury history and the chance to make it worse or injury something else because he’s compensating for his knee injury.

They’re either extremely exaggerating his injury or their medical staff legitimately fucked and tried to play it off as a minor injury at first because this situation makes no sense.

Wouldn’t the Celtics rather a hobbled Embiid play? If he can barely get up and down the floor, you have a huge advantage. At least if he sits you’re playing 5 on 5.

He is 100% not playing today. Gambling is one of the NBA’s top priorities and they can’t risk anything that could be perceived as deceitful to bettors. I don’t think you’re ever going to see a player listed as doubtful the day of the game play anymore just because betting is so tied into the product now.
