Domantas Sabonis reflects on memorable Kings season, Sacramento heading into offseason

Kings center Domantas Sabonis, one day following the playoff exit, reflects on the Kings success this past season, falling in Game 7 to the Warriors, not exchanging handshakes with Golden State after the series, the possibility his hand injury will require surgery and what lies ahead for his team as they head into the offseason.

  1. Draymond: "I don't understand why the guy I stomped on wouldn't come over and shake my hand and say congratulations, good series and good luck after we won."

  2. Might want to shake Draymond's foot instead… or hold it… or keep it. Still the best actor in the series!

  3. An awful offensive player!! That center position was a waste for the King. I hope the Warriors play AD same way and the Warriors will lose in 5.

  4. Grown ass 7 foot man flopping and pretending to be hurt after flopping for a call then grabbing draymonds foot. Absolute state of the nba. Deeaaron trash fox spent more time crying for calls then playing actual defense. Refs allowed fox to stay in by not calling him for his trash d. Warriors had to beat the kings and their daddy refs. Sad team. They will never make it past the second round.

  5. Had my boy mumbling he didn’t know what to say he knows he was in the wrong 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

  6. The Kings using the Warriors system should do fine, but a smaller market team will never be able to feed the NBA or be able to profit share. The handshaking thing- maybe it's a cultural thing. The arm/foot grabbings and pulldowns the refs will be more aware of now.

  7. Sabonis had a phenomenal year and brought the Kings out of the doldrums, 16 years out of the playoffs. His energy, hustle, tenacity, and being a team player were on full display all year long. I really appreciate his play and dedication to the team. Thank you, Sabonis. He needs to take notes and watch some Olajawon videos with these fantastic low-post moves. He needs to practice going to the right more to keep defenses honest. Plus, he cannot be soft in the playoffs with simple backboard shots as he did in the regular season. He MUST dunk it with authority! Also, that mid-shot will be vital in the off-season to improve. He must confidently take that shot without hesitation like C-Webb would do back in the day. All in all, it was an outstanding season and I look forward to this team's improvement next year.
