If you bring in JB then CC is going to have to play the 3🤔🤷🏾♂️😎✊🏽
Make moves this offseason. No guarantees for the future.
Just avoid extending Stew and Killian (resign in restricted or revoke rights to open more cap space). Also, you'd possibly have $45 million coming off with Bojan (team option), Burks, and Wiseman. Plus, you can "waive and stretch" Bagley's final year to open up another $8+ million. Did I mention the annual cap increase?
All said, the Pistons could easily make room (~$60mil±) for a max player if they don't commit to the 2020 draftees this offseason.
Make moves when you can especially for a player like Jaylen Brown. We would be crazy to not try and make a push for him. Brown has to make All-NBA to get that extra money this season. He probably won't get it
If they trade the 1st-3rd pick in this draft for picks I can see this happening but realistically I doubt he’ll come to Detroit. I just don’t see him coming through free agency, but who knows what next season will look like
If we don’t get the number 1 pick in this year’s draft would u trade that pick for Jaylen?
With some of the details of the new CBA that has been agreed upon, Jaylen Brown was mentioned specifically in that ESPN article, he was already going to make a crap ton of money. Now his salary would destroy any teams cap space. We've got Cade, Jaden, and Jalen as a core. And I believe we are going to get another great player in the draft. I vote for the patience approach.
Lol like Jaylen Brown would sign here 😂
If we fall out of the top 3 I could see them trying to make a package to get brown. A package of the 4th pick, Bogey, Bagley and a future 1st could get it done….
You "wait" for nothing and nobody in the NBA. Too many variables out of the control of Piston's management to do something like that. Not even a question I would entertain as GM unless I had some reliable insider information. And there not a whole lot of that floating around.
It would be dumb to throw an offseason away in hopes of signing Brown in two years. Brown might not even want to come to Detroit.
