Still wrapping my head around Spo pivoting to having Lowry and Duncan Robinson DROP when Josh Hart set screens. Not sure I’ve ever seen guards in basic drop before.

Spo has been pushed to a place where he absolutely has to bring the best out of whoever is on the roster. He’s been experimenting all year to make ballsy adjustments just like that. Cerebral dude, anyways, Knicks in 6.
Spo told them dont even worry about Hart just goes tooward Brunson lol. They dont fear the threat of Hart as a scorer. You need to either have IQ, RJ set the screen or even Grimes who can pop back out behind the 3pt line.
This is why you need Grimes or Julius back. If they set the screens and Lowry/Duncan drop, we have two guys there that can hit shots much better than if Hart sets them. Hart is my dude but he needs to go to the bench for Grimes who can get hot if we can get him into a rhythm. Plus, I have full confidence that Julius can bully Love in iso like he was bullying Mobley before he got hurt in Game 5. He’ll get to the line, get them in foul trouble, but also hit mid range and 3s. Missing Julius was a big big deal. Grimes too. They are why the starting lineup works to hold a close game and the bench mob comes in and gives us a lead that the starters just need to maintain
I’m worried more about Thibs than anyone in this battle. He’s got mettle for sure, but he’s up against a great in this one. Dude needs to be on his absolute A game to win us this series just like the players.
