I really don’t want anything they have. Like yeah it’d be kind of insane to say I don’t want 5 firsts because if they offer 5 firsts you have to say yes, but like if I’m trading OG or Siakam which are the guys they’d be interested in I want at least a guaranteed good asset and not have to hope that in 5-8 years the Grizz are bad.

I’m only interested if we can somehow get Tyus Jones, Clarke, Ziare and picks

  3. YaoMingGOAT

Give us Tyrus Jones + Clark and we go from there

  4. Live-Secretary-852

Teams like the Blazers,Rockets and Pelicans are the ones I’m calling for a trade, Grizzlies have nothing that would interest me.

All picks are not created equal.

    Late picks suck.

I’ll put it like this, I would make a deal with them if we were cleaning house (as in parting with Pascal, Fred & OG).

In a case like a above you could try and deal with Portland and get their 2023 Pick and 1 of Sharpe or Simons, and then deal with Memphis for some of their picks.

    Trade 1)

    POR Gets:
    – Pascal

    TOR Gets:
    – Simons or Sharpe
    – 2023 1st Rd Pick
    – Filler

    Trade 2)

    MEM Gets:
    – OG

    TOR Gets:
    – 3 1st Rd Picks
    – Zaire
    – Filler

    Trade 3)

    Sign and trade Fred

Some combo of Zaire, Kennard, Tyus Jones and picks for OG? That would be somewhat appealing to the Raptors, no? Don’t think they’d want to give up Bane but for the right guy, who knows. Grizzlies should be doing everything in their power to get OG. Better defender and player than Brooks without all the nonsense.

I think Masai said he wanted young prospects and a pick right? They dont have any prospects to move unless we love Santi or Williams

If Fred doesn’t want to come back you go after tyus Jones. He’s A starting level point guard. If OG doesn’t budge on signing an extension with raps this off-season, and siakam does, then you’ve probably found your answer.

Lot of dominos this off-season. If Fred resigns, I could see them letting GTJr walk, bringing in a backup guard with MLE and brining in a draft pick and calling it a day.

If they offer 5 frp and 3 swaps + salary fillers like Kennard, this could be the Raptors’ utah-timberwolves break. A team of Ja/PS/JJJ isnt that great tbh

Siakam is expiring and re-signing him would put us deep into the luxury tax. We have to either blow it up now or offload him at the trade deadline. If Masai is smart he’ll take the offer that gives the most picks

very aggressive in telling Dillon Brooks to fuck off

That 2024 Warriors pick is the only pick they have that is even somewhat interesting. Memphis has such a young team that their picks in outer years aren’t that appealing

They also don’t have a very good young prospect to send like Portland would for example, and based on reporting at the deadline, that’s what Masai wants, not just picks.

Unless they offer all those picks for OG or Siakam, I just don’t think a deal happens with them. Good for leverage though.

Who would want a pick from this team? Im so confused

  14. Even though Tyus only has one year left on his deal, I could see him being a significant asset for us. A trade of Tyus, Kennard and 3 picks would be interesting, adding some shooting while probably freeing us from being forced to re-sign Fred. I don’t think Masai likes it when he’s forced to re-sign free agents because we have no one else at their position (see: drafting Poeltl and Malachi when Biz and Fred were due to be FAs).

I think that keeping OG makes a lot of sense, but OG for Tyus/Kennard/3 picks would definitely be a fair deal.

The other option being a Pascal for Bane trade, but I can’t see Memphis moving off their core 3 guys yet.

Question; what exactly do you guys want for OG?

Every time that me or others mentioned the lots of draft capital + good prospect(s), there’s a TON of pushback “oh the picks are probably going to be low first rounders”… Well OF COURSE THEY ARE. A team who’s seems extremely likely to give up a high lottery pick isn’t going to just part with one for an expiring contract, unless their FO is dumb.

You’re going to draw the teams who feel they are a step away from contending/winning titles. Like Houston and San Antonio won’t send you firsts for a possible one year rental. And even if the contending team holds another teams pick that might be high, they’d be hesitant to move it.

That was my issue at the deadline as well. The ONLY team that I MIGHT see offering a high pick would be Portland.. but it would likely be only that pick and one of their guys… and they are supposedly going after KAT now, so I feel they would hold that pick unless they know they’re out on KAT

  16. Found this on r/NBA from a grizz fan:

“Word on the streets is we tried to dump all of our picks for Mikal and when that didnt work we did the same thing for OG. We’re probably going to have to give up one of our role players at this point tho”

If the price for OG is stable to rising between last deadline and the offseason than Masai is at least partially right in his “29 losers” theory.
