@cool purple sports it really depends on who is moved. if two players are moved like siakam and og or siakam and fred, or og and fred, they will resign gary trent jr as the raptors need 3 pt shooting and gary is still young.
its why you are seeing the siakam rumors coming out, and the og rumors have always been there. Eric Koreen said the raptors cant sign everyone and may opt to trade siakam who is their best players but also the oldest who makes the most.
This is way too much for GTJ, this from a Raptors fan.
The gap between Grayson Allen & GTJ is smaller then you realise.
Throwing in Beauchamp makes the Raptors the winner of that trade, gambling on upside.
Raptors need shooters, particularly movement shooters and Allen is a cheaper option.
Trent Jr is better offensively & alot younger but won't get paid what he wants.
Raptors just need Allen to space the floor & he doesn't require as many shots as GTJ which helps Raptors offense.
There's also also untapped talent in there with Beauchamp who just needs game time.
Beauchamp a 6ft 7, athletic guard/forward who can shoot.
Beauchamp as expected as a rookie didn't get much game time playing for a veteran team & NBA title contenders+top seed.
On the Raptors he will get minutes, Raptors bench needing some potential firepower now that Nurse is gone who didn't play the bench.
