I’ve been sitting on this worry for a while, but I’m curious to hear others thoughts.

The pessimist in me worries that Calvin might have just been executing a roster plan that he and TC put together before TC’s move to Minnesota. That would kind of make this year’s moves “fools gold” in that it might be making Booth look way better than he potentially is.

What do you all think? Legit “back of mind” worry, or complete nonsense my mind needs to ditch?

Excutive of the year has always been a bit of a weird award to me as long term vision is crucial for a GM, so judging them on a year is a bit weird. Often you can’t really judge the impact of a move until years later. Like Sacs most important move was Sabonis but technically thats not part of this year. That said, seems like a fair result to me. KCP, Brown and Braun have been great but at the end of the day the most important players were already brought in under TC.

Is this what an agressive FO looks like? What the Smh!

Regarding Booth and TC. I like TC and he deserve credit for drafting Murray and making the Gordon trade. But this is the first year jokic has had a really solid team around him. I don’t think tc would have made the move for KCP and he is so valuable.

I think you can see the difference in team philosophy between the two guys after listening to this

Congrats to Booth, well deserved. BTW, he’s number one when considering contenders, all execs above him are from teams that have been eliminated already

Booth didn’t make any massive headline splash moves and the Nuggets jump is more attributed to us being healthy, at least on a wider scale. But that said, the moves Booth made this season were low key and brilliant in making us a true championship contender. We aren’t here without the guys he acquired and shipped out. Even the Bones move, while a real “sell low” situation, I do think it was a necessary step for us to clear up bench rotation and all around team chemistry
